That Anzu cliffhanger was entirely anime original tho, I'm not raising my hopes high for this romance subplot. I mean, Miho is a thing, so why not |

| A guy attracts girls with his psychic abilities, and women really tend to like that kind of thing. However, Anzu (who is skeptical about psychic abilities) and Miho (who doesn’t take life seriously and doesn’t express doubts about her future) aren’t inclined to get close to the psychic. The episode’s script was interesting in justifying the character’s shift in attitude and conflict. This episode recalled details from episode 2, with Anzu being saved by a faceless voice (Dark Yugi, for the viewers). The allusions to self-fulfilling prophecies were also fitting and justify the characters' development throughout the episode (Jonouchi, Honda, and Yugi). Young Yugi was shown to be boring to Anzu, while Dark Yugi was shown to be interesting to her. How will Anzu deal with this? The Shadow Game was a game of predicting falling objects. Thematically fitting, but not as developed or interesting. |
