Hello random visitor! My name is John and I'm 26 years old. I live in a suburb of Athens, located in Greece and I'm currently on the first year of my PhD studying SME's access to finance.
I started watching anime knowingly when I was 14 and since then I have been watching non-stop. I am mostly watching seasonals nowadays since they are easier to track to and finish but I am in the mood to binge a finished title from time to time especially with friends. When I have the time and I am not into heavy working period, I also like to read some light or visual novels.
As for random friend requests, they won΄t be accepted. If you want to talk about something, feel free to drop a message or comment on my profile though.
After that great intoduction and before I present my favourites, I'm sure that you're interested on getting to know me better, so here's some more info about me:
My hobbies include: anime, novels, table tennis, music (anime songs/soundtracks mostly), watching football (supporter of Olympiacos, Milan, Manchester City), watching tennis (Nadal and Tsitsipas supporter), video games (PC, mobile)
I also like: watching series, playing electric guitar, sweets
Things I hate: strongly opinionated people, going with the flow, lies, bugs, eye pain and overly optimists

1- Horrible. It was painful watching/reading. I wanted to end it as soon as I could, since it failed in every faction.
2- Really bad. Same with 1, but it managed to be a little bit less painful to watch/read, since I either found some kind of wrong entertainment into it, or it at least tried to cover the basics in terms of art/story.
3- Bad. Stories that could have been better if they weren't rushed or didn't take the wrong turn somewhere. Also, uninteresting and common stories most of the times.
4- Below Average. Stories that managed to fulfil some of the qualities I deem as important, but was lacking a lot on some factors like story writing, art, characters.
5- Par Average stories. From this category and afterwards are anime that I truly enjoyed watching. They are stories that managed to accomplish the most important of my criteria for a story but still, didn't manage to have that certain characteristic that would make them, to say, unique.
6- Good In this class, are stories that managed to capture my interest. They lack (more or less) on the same departments as the par stories, but still, they had something different that managed to distinguish them, like good characters or good art.
7- Very good These stories are probably among the best of their genre, since they had a good combination of art, story writing, story telling and pacing. However, they didn't manage to make the next step; to excel on one factor.
8- Great Stories that had me on the edge of my sit will watching them. They were good on all (or most) departments, but also had a unique characteristic like great characters, good plot twists, colourful art, unique story that managed to make me not lose my interest for even a second.
9- Excellent. A masterpiece that managed to excel in every faction. The reason that it isn't a 10 is because there was a masterpiece even better than it that snatched the 10 treatment, or that something feels amiss for the ultimate score. Nevertheless, a story that made me think about some ideals of mine more.
10- God. The best story of its kind. A story that, no doubt, changed me as a person, and I could re-watch/re-read endlessly. I can perfectly relate with the characters, I can understand and feel their pain. All those feelings adapted into a complex story, with great story writing and atmosphere as well as beautiful art. ^^
My rating system for VNs is more strict. In general, scores are comparable only among stories of the same type.
Hey! I landed a job as a summer camp coordinator. Planning and running summer camps in the community. I'm also doing some bookkeeping and other tasks too. It'll keep me busy for the summer and it's quite flexible so I like it alot. I guess you're doing exams now hey? I wish you the best of luck!
Lol I am really taking my time with these replies. Just started my new job at the end of April and with summer kicking off, who just wants to stay in and watch anime haha. I hope you had a good break! So are you back in school for summer or no?
I guess you're right. I personally have been on here since 2013, and I really only come on usually to update my list. It is great catching up and I think I will give some others a shoutout when I got the time.
Sorry for the late reply. I'm really just not as active on here anymore.
Well I hope your midterm yesterday went well too!
I agree, those would be much more useful after graduation. But I'm gonna be honest, I still probably wouldn't go haha. Now I gotta go to the place that stressed me out and created bad memories even after I graduate?! Oh well, just gotta play the cards we have now I guess
He wrote KnK while drunk? That's too funny. Oh yeah, I'm for sure gonna re watch Kara no Kyoukai sometime, maybe even soon. I think I re watched the first one a while back but for some reason just stopped there.
Yeah, I'm thinking of reaching out to him. Its just that like I said, I'm really not as active on here, so my response time will be quite brutal.
The largest problem for me when it comes to VN's are the time commitment. Even with anime, I'm pretty sure my days of binging long running shounens are over. I still love One Piece and I'll watch that until it ends, but as for starting older 100+ eps series now, it's just daunting. There are so many forms of media I love engaging in daily (live action, anime, youtube) that dedicating all my time to a single one just doesn't do it for me.
haha glad to hear it. C's get degrees is what they say.
Thanks! I can only hope every thing clears up before it's too late.
The university had events where students could network with employers or professors, and I did not take advantage of that. They were usually later in the evening when I just wanted to go home, which ties into the next topic. Honestly, I'm glad I got all my anime watching out of the way back then, and not wanting to do it now. Its a crucial time in life and I for sure wouldn't want to spend it binging almost 100 episodes a week. It really is crazy looking back on the years since high school and seeing how everything has changes Hindsight is 20/20 as it goes.
The darker atmosphere was most definitely a home run for me. I'm glad they went the movie way cause the censorship in a TV series would be a bit too much. Haha, oh yeah, I guess Illya made a brief appearance in Zero. She would make good daughter material xD (again without the desire to kill).
Yeah, that seems to be the conclusion I came to as well. If I want more, go VN or Fate/GO Honestly I love the nasuverse, so seeing more Kara no Kyoukai would also be nice. I'll consider it cause I think I had a convo with Kaiton a while back about this too, but I never actually did it. Anime is simple and requires no effort when you're tired at the end of the day.
Hey I hope your midterm went well! Summer break is around the corner, hang in there.
Honestly I could have done a lot more networking in my time at uni but no point in regretting that now. Yes, I majored in physics and minored in math. I'm trying to get something in a lab setting, like a hospital, research lab, etc. I just wanna pay off the loans and then maybe consider pursuing a masters down the line.
Same, I watch a lot more seasonal stuff, but I'll binge something now and again. I know what you mean, school just drains not only time but energy too. You just wanna go to bed after. What are you watching this upcoming season?
I think I prefer HF over UBW simply cause I found some of the ideal rambling kinda annoying at times. Like c'mon man, just fight. I still love UBW but without that, HF was just way more enjoyable for me. The protection of someone you care about also had more emotional impact. I've always liked Rin and Saber, but there are a lot of the servants I have a soft spot for. Iskandar, Gilgamesh, both Lancers, and now after seeing HF, Rider has made it up there too. I guess I didn't really see enough of Illya cause she got killed off fairly quickly in UBW, but I loved her in HF though. I'm interested in seeing more of her. I'm actually thinking of getting into more fate, at least in what anime has to offer. Any suggestions?
Hey congrats man! Last time I remember you were in your 2nd or 3rd year of undergrad . One year till you're done post grad now, that's awesome! As for me, I graduated with my undergrad almost 2 years ago. After that, I was doing some odd jobs here and there while doing a course for coding. Right now, I've been trying to get a steady job in my field but the pandemic has made it rather impossible. I've got something lined up for the summer, but not in my field.
I still love watching anime, but I can longer binge at the pace I could a few years back. At most I can watch maybe 10-15 eps/week. What are some series that you've enjoyed since we last spoke?
Ah I see. Well, I'll just start by saying that it's the best anime I've watched in a long time. I've seen a lot of great shows lately, but nothing to this caliber. I was absolutely blown away. ufotable killed it. This is the first time I've seen the difference in the routes (I never watched fate/stay 2006) so I really liked the change of events and focus on different characters compared to UBW. What's your favorite route and who are your favorite characters?
I wrote my last message before I was gonna go to bed, but I didn't expect you to respond right away haha. I'm gonna pass out now, so my reply will be when I wake up.
Hey, I know this is kinda random since the last time we talked was like 4 years ago, but I just watched all of the Fate/stay night Heaven's Feel movies today. I finished all 3 of them 10 min ago and you were the first person I thought of that I could talk to about the spectacle I just witnessed.
On a second note, how have you been these last 4 years? XD
Eh not really. I don't have anything in particular to share. Well that's good. I know a lot of people are having to take classes online now. Good luck with your studies. Heavy work load doesn't sound too great to deal with.
Yep one of those feelings where you want to cozy up in front of a fireplace and read a book. That's great! Unfortunately I did not get her and have to save up my SQ from scratch again.

That’s great to hear. Enjoy your summer break to the fullest then! :3
As for me, I’ve also been doing fine as well, thanks for asking. 😊
How are you doing?
