Yeah, I remember about yam from the Part I even though I watched it pretty long ago. But I'm certain it wasn't the only case when Zantetsuken didn't work in Part II (e.g. episode 19 "Can You Open the Ten-Year Vault?" where Goemon tried to open egg-shaped safe with his sword, and I think there were other episodes, too)

Yep, there were other episodes too. I recall always furrowing my eyebrows whenever I see Goemon's sword unable to cut through anything but konyaku, what I recall to be the only item the sword can't canonically cut.

I found it funny how they played up Goemon's Japanese-ness, and made light of it. Also recognized Michael Mcconnohie's voice (Mr. Sherlock) from his Seth in Street Fighter IV.

There was also a treasure box in one of the movies the sword couldn't cut too.

Still the lesson here is, DON'T FUCK WITH GOEMON.

It's always Fujiko and at the end she'll be forgiven

Pretty sure he couldn't slice a lot of things before.. like that one time armored car where Zenigata suffocated
Konnyaku OP, first Doraemon now this xD

Fujiko get a "rough" punishment to munch "raw" yam :P

Goemon was seriously badass.

And of course, Fujiko was up to no good as always xD

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Out of all of Fujiko's betrayals, this is the one which stings the most so far. She stole something irreplaceable like the Zantetsuken when she knows how important it is to Goemon, and despite the many times he saved/helped her, Lupin and Jigen with it.

To makes things worse she didn't even try to recover it when she found out why those people wanted it, she just tried to profit even more. But well, she got off easily, but the two merchants of death paid the price. One was arrested thanks to her photos and Goemon ended the other.

I noticed the West Naire delegate kind of looked like Captain Dyce from 'Future Boy Conan'.

This is easily the most enjoyable episode of Part II so far. What a ridiculous premise. This episode took Part IIs greatest strength (Absurdity), and took it to the extreme.
