Poor Gramps...

Nothing much too much happens except shame weight, the cousin being a meany and rapist friend appears. Good read.

Kinoshita's opinion about Kasuga is the one I'm looking forward to hearing the most. I can't wait until they (hopefully) have a good conversation next chapter!

Yep, that's certainly quite interesting. At least for now, Kasuga is taking criticism in stride.

It was bound to happen that he would be put on spot for what he did and now that the
first person to meet him from his old school has shown up the real hell might begin for him.

The story is too damn slow. Grandpa's death is just a plot device so that Kasuga will go back to the town but the author wasted a lot of pages on it. It would have been better if this chapter ended after Kasuga and Kinoshita had a conversation.

That was sad and everybody is blaming Kasuga for his death. Kinoshita makes an appearance. Can't wait for the next chapter.

Blaming grandpa's death on Takao? That's kind of lame...unless they think it's because he carries some bad omen or something. Hm and he meets Kinoshita of all people? Definitely looking forward to what she has to say.

The story is supposed to be slow. It's about Kasuga's recovery from the hectic hell he used to live in. Shit like this ain't supposed to be fast paced.

Hopefully his grandpa dying won't phase him more then it would anyone else. I don't want him reverting back to the way he was just because he was told/feels like it was his fault.

I suspected Kinoshita would be the first person he meet there for some reason.

Next chapter should be interesting.

What does sitting in the car looking at random things got to do with recovery huh? A weekly manga doing this is fine but this is a fucking monthly manga.

Interesting to see Kinoshita at the end, I wonder what she has to say to him. Also wonder if she has come to terms of what all happened, or if she still holding a resentment towards Takao and is gonna vent.

Ughhh! It sucks now that we have to wait another month or two :(

Them blaming him for the death of his grandfather who was obviously an old man was just a reason for them to be mean and lay guilt trips on him.

Yeah she's Saeki's friend. A relative of her probably knew Takao grandfather, it's a small town so it should be pretty common.

I think it was stupid how they blamed him for the Grandpa's death. Kasuga

should have just walked away after they said that to him. I mean they think

shame killed the old man, get real. As soon as I saw his families faces I knew I

wasn't going to like them, especially the cousin. I mean didn't they ever ask

why he did what he did? Instead of feeling shame because of him they should

have been trying to help him.

Kinda lost on why Kasuga is blamed for his grandpa's death... That was pretty confusing. Other than that, not a very eventful chapter.. Let's hope next month's chapter tops this one!

Though it was a pretty great chapter
Things couldnt be peaceful for more than one chapter, the flowers coming back, I half expected to see it sticking out of the town in that panoramic shot.

Family pride is a big deal in Japan, but I think it's retarded too.

In Japan, your family name is more important than everything in the world. If someone of your family, even if you don't know that person, does something really awful, they will blame every freakin' bad thing onto that person, like it was a bad omern for the family. If you lost a school year, if you became a hikkikomori, if you even have kids outside marriage or divorce, that brings predjuice in the family and they will look down on you harshly.

That makes you think about the main reasons for all those sucide rates in Japan. It's kinda stupid here in the west, but in Asia it's a big deal. :/

Because such small things as looking through the window create the required atmosphere. Plot may be the most prevalent part of a story, but it is far from the only one.

Japanese society has its good and bad sides. This stuff, with you being blamed for small things and polite aggressiveness, is one of the bad sides. You can get blamed everywhere, but they have a special skill of making a very, very unpleasant atmosphere.
For example, when a Japanese survived on Titanic, the Japanese society blamed him for taking someone else's place and many openly thought he should repent by killing himself.
Or when you faraway relative does something bad, your entire family will be blamed and punished by the society. You can even say goodbye to possibility of being a promoted on a job simply because some relative did something bad.

Surprisingly mature reaction from Takao there. I am quite intrigued at Ai's sudden appearance at the funeral. I'd love to know what she thinks and what she has to say. Being Nanako's friend, she also could have something to say about her. I actually liked seeing Ai again.

That so called atmosphere was completely trivial. The hospital and the family part where ok even if the author took some time in it. But that car scene was just plain filler. Ever since the author met the director of Aku no Hana anime, the pace is getting horrendously slow like the guy was influenced by the director or something.

*sigh The manga is not like this when it began. I may sound like I'm bashing this manga but TBH I'm just disappointed.

Who?

Oh... The friend of Nanako, I wonder what she has to say?

I suppose the death could be caused by him being depressed on hat his grandaon has did? Still, blaming it on him is harah.

Kasuga's grandpa died and the whole family pretty blames Kasuga for their grandpa's death. Such a gloomy chapter but it was still good. I actually forgot who Kinoshita was so I had to look her up. She was Saeki's friend eh? Their conversation should be interesting.

^ This. I did the same :P Totally forgot who she was. When it came up I was like, "Who the hell is Kinoshita??". Then yeah, I looked it up and read it was that chick. Saeki's friend who kept yelling at Kasuga when they were dating. Ahhhh.. Anyway... Interesting chapter. And yes, next chapter should be even more interesting. Hoping that we'll find out what happened to the town and the school and Nakamura after Kasuga left.

I mean they're not really wrong though.... at the first half, Kasuga only thinks about himself and even betray his parents trust. Even making his mom cried over and over again. Making a mom cry is the worst thing a human could do and I can see why everyone is blaming him.
