Too bad they chose to focus on Orica for the OVA, I don't like that character much. I also would have expected better music, of course, especially since the trailer had a great song. And there is more, just play the game. (If you have a PS2 that is. At least it got translated.) And then there is Ar Tonelico 2 too, which should be released in Japan soon. |

For no reason I waited more form this ova. It was a disappointment from top to bottom. First thing first...the anime starts and ends in different worlds unsolving the main problem, second the main character is to "chlice" ^^”: I mean there it is: a girl who can't sing -she has no reason for not singing, she just can't and then suddenly she have that revelation "lets be good and help without wanting something in return" and shaaazam she starts to sing. ^^" |

I have not played the game and the fact that this OVA is nothing more than a compliment/advertisement to the game was pretty obvious throughout the episode. Why? Well, it made few attempts to actually explain what the heck was going on, the characters where left undeveloped and come on, your an average RPG have like 40h of gameplay while this ova was just under 30 minutes... Not the most horrendous OVA I've ever seen, it did spark some interest in the game itself, but it wasn't anything special at all and highly forgettable as a standalone product. |

The only thing I am thinking is that I should have started the game when I bought it last Xmas which was like 7 months ago.. Since this is a promotional ova like Growlanser IV, there really isn't much to the anime itself. Generally, Lyner escaped from the top of the tower, crashed his airship to the middle ground and encounters Aurica, then the two of them crash landed a second time (3rd time for Lyner) into an even lower part of the landmass. There wasn't an engineer at the lower landmass capable of repairing the damages done to his airship, not mentioning that neither can he recruit people to save and backup Shurelia and Ayatane who are not mentioned in the anime and are fighting the monsters all by themselves. Somehow, a female engineer managed to haul the broken airship to repair and demands Lyner to pay 100,000 leafs as that she had already claimed ownership to it. Lyner does not have ownership of the airship as that in the beginning of the game, though not mentioned in the ova is that the airship isn't his. He was authorized to use it to call for backup by his mentor, Shurelia-sama and obviously, there is no proof as to why the airship belonged to him as that it really isn't the case. However, a fire-dragon had managed to escaped Shurelia-sama and Ayatane into the lower landmass and launched an attack destroying the town. Lyner played decoy to lure it away while Aurica regains her confidence due to Lyner's influence causing her to have the power to use song magic which enabled Lyner to kill the dragon. However, the airship was severely damaged due to the battle and also carrying out the role of a decoy, it will crash land again. Not much of a story but barely passes as a promotional purpose... |

Mehh i never played the games and i love ar tonelico more because of the art. I like the Ova i love orica she soo cute and nice girl, kawaii. And Lyner is sooo hot. This ova really need continuation i wonder if they will maked? I think not, but i really loved if they do. Now they have a new game Ar tonelico 3 and the art is amazing i loved. The art ova compared with the art game is really poor. But even i still loved the Ova, i hope if they make a continuation the art have the same quality that the games. I'm not disappointed with the OVA i just want more, and i liked more if they make it with more romance with lyner and orica they are a so cute couple *.* |

I haven't played the game but if this a promotional video for the game, it got me interested in the story but not the game itself. Anyway as a standalone 24-minutes OVA, it was too fast, too short, and the ending was a cliffhanger too (another hint to buy the game?). In spite of that, I think it was still nice by itself but it would be better if they turned it into a series. XD |

My thoughts: I'm one of the few who really enjoyed it, because… Aurica, Aurica & more Aurica~ <3 It does suck that most of the cast got the shaft, though. |
