| This thread is just for fun, but even so... Who is your favorite character in Vividred Operation? I made a helpful diagram concerning my own opinion (read as best to worst from left to right), but, of course, no one else is required to make their own~ ;)  |

| Alright, I want to add up the meaning behind their names! It is as what people expected, their names is literally their color codes. Akane Isshiki Akane is a female name in Japan, the meaning is "Bright Red" (alas the name is Vivid Red), interestingly it is also have an alternative kanji with the meaning of 'gather'. Akane in this series act as the center of the group, which is suitable with her given name. Her family name could means "The Genuine One". Momo Isshiki Momo is a female name in Japan that has a meaning of "Peach" and often used to describe the color Pink (Momoiro or "peach color"), it has two alternative kanji that has meaning of 'thigh' and the other one is 'hundred'. Funny that Momo is the only girls from the cast that isn't exposed to crotch-cam, given her name in itself has the meaning of 'crotch'. She was capable in doing anything, probably goes well as said as "capable of doing hundreds of things". Aoi Futaba Aoi is a genderless name, it has the meaning of "Shades of Blue" since the ancient Japanese language use Aoi to name both Blue and Green. Although modern Japanese used the word Midori to describe Green, they still use Ao word in describing vegetables and vegetations. Futaba in her family name itself has a meaning of "Sprout; Bud" or alternatively "Second Type". Futa in kanji could also means "Pairs" lol! Wakaba Saegusa Wakaba is a female name that has a meaning of "Young Leaf" maybe to define a light green colors, the funny part is often used to describe a sign for newbie drivers that is put in their cars. Her family name means "Third type" or "Third bud". Himawari Shinomiya Himawari is a female name, it has meaning of "Sunflower" represents bright yellow. This is also used culturally as reference to handicapped people that has special needs. There is "Himawari class" in Japanese schools. It's written kanji means "A holly-hock looking up toward the Sun". In this case she is looking up to professor Isshiki and his creations. Shinomiya family name has the meaning of "Four" and alternate meaning of "Bamboo Princess". Rei Kuroki Rei is a genderless name, it has a meaning of "Lovely" or "Companions", the kanji has alternative meaning of "Zero", "cool", "Tears", and "Dark". Rei surname is often used for male than female. Her family name represents the color of "Black" and the kanji of Kuroki has a meaning of "Dark Soul". So, according to their name, it should be like this: [0]Rei [1]Akane [2]Aoi [3]Wakaba [4]Himawari [..........] [100]Momo Momo is the best. |

| My favorite overall is Akane as her personality shines above the rest of the cast in my opinion. I guess my second favorite would be Rei Kuroki as she reminds me of Homura from Madoka. |

| I liked both Rei and Akane at the beginning but their collective stupidity in the last couple episodes was so rage-inducing that I couldn't help but kicking them to the bottom of my picks. That goes for other girls in the Vivid team as well. Their connection to Rei is too thin to leave any emotional impact at the end. Momo is the best girl. She can cook, clean, and take care of family in place of her airhead sister. |

| Wakaba > Grandpa Ham > Aoi > Rei > everyone else Wakaba will make a great drinkin' buddy once she's of age. Mr. Mascot needed to be shown doing his awesome thing more more often. Aoi is the only anime girl I've ever used "beautiful" to describe, plus she's a sweetheart, plus plus she wields a hammer and everyone whose weapon of choice is a hammer is mah people! Rei needs a hug. No one else blipped my radar, so no comment.
