I have been watching this show, and in every episode since ep 4, I can spot references for Steins;Gate, some maybe not as big, but you get my point.

In Ep. 1, Rikka was drinking Mr. Peter (Dr. Pepper)
In Ep. 2, Rikka was wearing a labcoat
In Ep. 3, Rikka was talking crazy on the phone
In Ep. 4, Shinka was given a member #005 pillow by Tsuyuri (In which Moeka was given as a lab member)

It's either they are extreme coincidences or KyoAni like Stein;Gate

A reference thread that makes no references to Yu Yu Hakushou?

The Male and Female lead both seem like they were Hiei Fanboys growing up.

I don't believe it will help you understand it better at all.

Being a KyoAni show it obviously references other KyoAni shows as well, like Yuuta's imouto who obviously goes to the same middle school Ui, Yui and Nodoka went to.

I found more proof which relevant to Steins;Gate.

In episode 4, when Deko-chan explain how did she know Mori Summer.

In webboard, she asked "Does other world really exist?". There are two persons who answered her question, Mori Summer (Shinka) and Jaou Shingan (Rikka)

http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/9656/chuunibyoudemokoigashit.jpg

While Shinka's answer didn't have anything special, Rikka's answer made me very surprise. There are some keywords which have been used in Steins;Gate many times.
- 平行世界 parallel world
- 機関 organization
- 突破 breakthrough (Okabe often uses this word when he's talking on the phone with himself.)

I wonder I have to re-watch other episodes again before they air episode 5.....

There is also a reference for Neon Genesis Evangelion on ep 3.
This anime should be under the Parody genre too.

I guess the fact that Okabe Rintarou was a great chuunibyou is a possible reason for the numerous references ;)

I thought some of those are just coincidence. I didn't realise it to be allusion to Steins;Gate. Nice gathering of evidence though.

Another similarity with SG:

Dekomori Sanae also makes references to Norse mythology (Mjolnir Hammer) just like Okabe Rintarou

Not sure if anyone picked it up but Sanae is humming the launch track Contre Les Aggressions from Rebuild of Evangelion after the OP in episode 10, compare:

Near the beginning episode 5, after the OP; Dekomori says "Don't tell me it's a Blood Type Blue!" Obvious NGE reference there.

I forgot what episode it was, but there was a Slayers reference.

Dekomori said the line to Lina Inverse's Dragon Slave.

Episode 4 around 5 minute, when Dekomori was using magic circle after Rikka.

I though it would be first reference listed since it's so obvious, maybe Slayers is not known as much as i though. And I still wonder why URW translated it as "dragon sleif"

Am I tripping or was there a reference to Clannad when Rikka was throwing away all of her chunibyo belongings? There was a dango in all of her things. Also, when they were talking about the 3 coins that needed to be collected, they mentioned 3 names: Belldandy, Skuld, and Urd. Now, while this could merely be a reference to the Norse mythology, Belldandy isn't Norse; and she is only found in the anime Ah! My Goddess. Her Norse name is Verdandi, if they were merely playing along the idea of Norse mythology (which is in the show) they would have just said Verdandi and not Belldandy. *****Also, in the anime her sister's names are Urd and Skuld*****

I have a feeling that the chuunibyou delusions were at least partially a rfernece to Fate. RIkka calling Dekomori her servant, the summoning circles motif and the incantations being in German (?) are all I can think of off the top of my head but given the references to s;g, another popular VN it seems too much of a coincidence to be one.
