Hunter x Hunter Movie Due in January

According to Mainichi News, the Hunter x Hunter movie was announced to be premiered on January 12, 2013. The title is "Gekijyoban Hunter x Hunter' Phantom Rouge". It will be an original story and is likely to be related to the Phantom Troupe arc.

Well, overall it was the best arc so I'm all for it.

They really are making movies left and right nowadays huh? I wonder why...

Well we know why he took his hiatus after he acknowledged he shouldn't after the new anime started! As for the movie being about the Phantom Troupe, I hope this movie highlights some of the members that don't get the spotlight until the Chimera Ant Arc such as Feitan,Bonolonev, and Kortopi but more Chrollo/Shalnark is always welcome XD

Great, Genei Ryodan arc was my favorite arc so far. And I hope Kurapika also get more screen time here.

To say the Movie will be +/- 6 month from now, so I will wait for +/ 1 year from now. Why? To see the BD version of course, since I'm not living in Japan.

I just want to know from manga readers if this series it even seemingly remotely close to ending.

I really can't stand the constant hiatus's

Most likely not, but the series did recently close a big part of the story. You could say it enters the second half, just like One Piece. Togashi is very unpredictable, it´s hard to make such statements about the series.

They mentioned that this movie features the murder of the Kurata clan... so I think this would be awesome. I don't know how will they incorporate battles with Kurapika as a protagonist though.

Anyways, this is gonna be awesome.

Reading these news, I doubt it's gonna return before the movie airs, but it's still good news, it's canon after-all. I bet it will return after the movie airs, Mars maybe? the month it ended in this year? i think so.

I thought it might be about the floor masters when I read the first news, there's still a chance for another movie though, but being about the past is actually more interesting, so yea it's a must watch, too bad we'll have to wait another year to watch it.

Kurapika is a "he" not a she. Nippon for whatever reason did a lot scenes insinuating he was a girl such as the bondage chains when that's not true

Am I the only one who's disappointed that all four MC's won't be equally involved here?
