Meh, this series reminds me of what LoGH would have been if it had an incompetent writer. The reason why I say that is because it has similar themes but just isn't written all that well.

I agree. No one can be Yoshiki Tanaka, though. This is just a Gundam series. They're usually entertaining and do a fair job of portraying darker aspects of war, but they never reach excellence. Tomino brought us the mecha genre, so I could never criticize him too highly.<3

Turn A started out terribly and most of the plot was set in motion for no adequately explored reason, but at least some parts of the story are becoming meaningful (especially Dianna and Kihel's identical appearances and switch). Most Gundam series have about an even amount of really meaningful or cool episodes then so-so episodes, but this one has only had one or two episodes that really hit what it's trying to say. Certain element have potential to drive the message but aren't used properly at all (Corin, Sochie, etc...) I don't mind watching this now, but I doubt I'll ever feel the need to rewatch it. Eh. The opening's really weird, too.

Interesting evolution of the switched look-alikes element. And there were people who were wishing for it to be a short experience.

Commandant Phil and his "cute" subordinate are crazy conquerors... well, one more "faction" !

4/5 Loran calmly breathing radioactive air was a weird moment.

The show is finally moving at a good pace and I hope the momentum continues. And Poor Lt. Zenoa.

Did...did Poe just get promoted to the Royal Guard...Or did she just take a SUMO because why not lol.

"Chibi mobile suit" lol nice way to describe a WaD. And then Loran jumps out of a mobile suit as if he was in 0G.

Sochie's change of heart and the brief talk with captain Zenoa made me tear up a bit. Great scene and realization.

I was pretty sure that this Gundam was free from space Nazis...but alas, Major Phil took this role with his speech. Harry should've been with Diana to support her (actually no, because it would've failed the plan with Kiehl if Harry was to be arrested too)! Anyway, nice intrigue, I hope Tomino manages to pull off the political aspect of the story that more or less failed in Zeta.

Harry knows the smell of Kiehl's perfume :333

About this show being "not LOGH": of course it isn't, but it doesn't mean we should judge literally everything by LOGH standards. Gundam never strived to be like LOGH, but LOGH also doesn't have a monopoly on being political, so why complain about an inclusion of political elements into a mecha series if these elements are well-implemented (and so far they are)

P.S. So Sochie managed to recognize her sister's voice now but couldn't do it with Diana's voice all that time? Well...Either Sochie is deaf or Diana is good at replicating Kiehl's voice at will.

This, I personally don't see the resemblance aside from politics being an element and the two being Sci fi.

I love LOGH but what's the point of comparing it to Turn a gundam?
I don't understand you people sometimes.
So the true villains are Phil and poe, they are literally idiots.
Zenoa was the true MVP of this episode, the only intelligent character.
