Wow this episode was interesting, finally Thoma gets to interact with one of the childrens of Belfort. It seems that weapon he uses is very unusual as it only kills those shadow creature things. When chitto used it, it passed right through the tree's as if they were not even their.

Then the summoning of Wonder was pretty amazing, this robot just comes alive on the island and takes him away. This series is starting to get very interesting, next episode title has me very intrigued to find out what happens next.

Although i don't like how this series is structured, it seems to me that each episode ends at a very awkward point in the story. In my opinion they should of ended this episode with the awakening of wonder and watching the child fly off, but instead it ends right when cooks is in a conversation. That is one thing i have known bout this show, is each episodes kind of ends abruptly, either way, they won't upset the balance of the plot.

I had no problem with the episode endings so far. It's not necessary to have a cliffhanger as an ending all the time. It sometimes gets really annyoing. Ending with the policeman's new revelation was fine by me~

Well this sure is interesting, what kind of powers do those kids have anyway and what's up with that robot or whatever it was?

Yeah, but I've found he has had reason to be an asshole. Helga completely ignored him after the rescue and didn't thank him, then our Belfort kid was an equal ass.

We get a little more info on this GED group and now we have a mech to add on to all of this genre clashing show.

thoma and helga are seeing some progress, i see that. i actually truly thought that he was going to stab the dog and could hardly hide my anticipation in public, but in the end it was one of those shadow things. i love how athletic thoma is, he's a little too strong though lmao. when he punched tarlant off of the big tower and he didn't die from a concussion... i just don't agree with how he pursued and beat tarlant when he did nothing wrong, tarlant didn't retaliate back either. he's so cute, why would you want to bother him?

Cooks got a new clue now, which will lead him to the researchers. And I wonder what's up with the fake Glass.

Meanwhile the children still didn't find Helga and Thoma made contact with one of them.

Intersting development as always.

I also disliked Thoma in this episode, but some children can be like that. He's trying to be all friendly, yet he has an image in his head of how people should behave toward him, and when they act differently, he responds with aggression or sulking. It's like he can't deal with any disappointments. The same thing has happened with Helga, Chitto and now the white-haired child. And also when he was unable to be the hero to save Chitto from the killer bees. I'd bet we'll see some character development from this self-centered existence.

Another shadow encounter, this time it first had the appearance of a pet dog, again suggesting a connection to the child's subconscious, which then turned into the towering shadow that can be fought with a sword that doesn't cut anything else, further giving the idea that we're dealing with the symbolic realm, the abstract or the subconscious, possibly the transformation from childhood ideals into the frightening unknown. It'll be interesting to see whether this point is explored further or whether the plot goes toward a more action-oriented direction with these fighting machines introduced.

Some more hints about the mystery around the children. I was expecting that the machine would move as an enemy, not that the children could call them up and control them. The society they came from was clearly very advanced if that machine has survived all that time. I'm curious about who the message they're waiting for is from though, who are "they" that the children worry will leave them behind? Is this part of their rebirth cycle or something else? And is this why they're looking for Tina so much?
I also find it interesting that the shadows/phantoms can appear to the kids already in the shape of a memory, and don't have to start as shadows. No wonder the kids are a bit exhausted at times, not being able to trust anything you see that is familiar because it could be a shadow would be horrible
Thoma is starting to piss me off. His endless need to look cool is very appropriate for a kid, but there's only so many scenes I can take of him being a dick to people for no reason before it bugs me, and punching the kid just because he didn't agree it was "Thoma's island" crossed that line

Thoma is far too aggressive for a main character. Anyone who isn't immediately friendly or submissive to him is attacked. Isn't one of the ethics of martial arts to not actively create violence with it where it isn't necessary?

Some impressive technology introduced in this episode, with the mech that came to life from its statuesque dormant state. I wonder how the white haired children got their hands on it.
