| Just finished watched Air by Key and i really enjoyed it, just as much as i did with Kanon, but i think i felt a bit more for Kanon than i did with Air. But they were both really good i want to know what you all thought of them if you have seen these great animes. Ty. :3 |

I will, i was actually going to watch that first but i thought i would watch these first seeing as they came out before Clannad and the characters look alike. | Air would have been great if it was given as much time as Kanon was, but unfortunately it was so rushed that it's attempts at drama fell really flat. Aside from the confusion, it may of had the best ending of the three though. Kanon has it's moments, and is a much better adaptation than Air, but at the same time I didn't find the characters all that memorable and Yuiichi, despite having the awesome Sugita providing voice work, just wasn't memorable to me. If you ask my opinion, Clannad is effectively the culmination of everything Key and KyoAni learned during their time with the first two series. The characters, particularly Tomoya and Nagisa, are memorable and the storytelling as a result is much more effective. Not to mention it has one of the better musical scores I've heard. The problem is that there is a sort of repetition between the earlier works and Clannad, though I think Clannad ultimately overcomes this by the time After Story rolls around. To keep it brief, I'd consider it a must watch. Your mileage may vary on the ending, though. |

| i enjoyed air but i felt like it could have been much better, the ending is what truly made it memorable, and as everyone said, watch clannad, first season is just good not great but after story is a league of its own |

| Well since i created this thread i have watched them all, it really can affect people! Especially when you get in to the story... I hope Key or some other company makes a similar anime again in future how long that will be i have no idea #.# I think i'll be rewatching Clannad in the future if nothing similar comes along. |
