I loved this, LOVED it! The wrestling action was so deliciously over-the-top, especially with the Foxy Ladies' blatant cheating and how they just beat up everybody for no reason. Then there's that Amazon frog poison subplot with the crazy Baoh-esque monster. It's just doesn't make any sense at all and I love it. |

I wish there were more animes like this one, the formula is simple, hot shounen action with females that look the part (not females with sailor moon bodies). Wannabes had great potential, but the plot I have to admit was average, it seemed like they did this OVA as a quick experiment and if it became popular then they would had invest more money into the next project. |

This could've been a cool wrestling OVA, but they ruined it with lab experiment monster. The voice acting was hilarious at some parts, tho xD Enjoyable watch, but not due to the quality. |

This about sums up my reaction: I'm convinced this is actually a Dirty Pair fan animation. Miki and Eri are very similar to Kei and Yuri in looks and behavior, not to mention the Dirty Pair were loosely based on josei pro wrestlers to begin with. The whole plot progression of building to fighting a monster feels like a Dirty Pair feature like Affair on Nolandia or Project Eden. The animation with the purple monster became a bit amateurish looking, but otherwise I don't really have any complaints and I had a blast watching it. The beginning with 4 minutes of josei puroresu was great and it really shows the need for more anime like this. Anime needs more sweaty ripped girls! |

Actually pretty good. Theres such an interesting element underneat the wrestling with al lthat super sciene and augmentaiton on the genetic level. Back then it was sci fi, but for almost 20 years now, its become sci possible, as many sci fi really is possible. BUt the aspect of female wrestling is refreshing, something which is still relatively new in todays sporting events. The crowds in the show were fairly well made up of women as much as men. But the action wasi nthe matches themselves, which were more brutal than let on. Because if you did half of the moves and attacks these gals did to each other, people would have their necks snapped, spines broken, and throats crushed. Says alot about performance enhancing too, and how nearly captain america level super soldier ish these pretty gals gbecome to beat their more experienced e sempai lady rivals. YEars ago I predicted that one day things like american football will allow a certain level of enchancement to up the carnage, as will other sports one day most likely. This show could have expanded upon things a bit more, but still did a fairly good job for a single ova with an eventual Resident Evil 1 feel to it by the end. BUT still no explanation of if the experiments wore off, or continued...lol Everyone just goes back to wrestling...Kinda Sexy..plus boobs lol. EQUAL RIGHTS MAKE ME SOME CONFIDENT STRONG WOMEN TO WRas'le wit lol 6.5/10. |

(SPOILER ALERT) they protagonists have died on last scene? because it let me understand that Mei died after being thrown by the monster and Miki must have probably killed herself for not bearing the loss of her friend. and the two went to heaven, fighting eternally to be champions. |

I don't think so. The cut where they show the dead lab monster on the street doesn't include Eri. Why do you think Miki "probably" killed herself? Why go through all that trouble of rescuing their friends then? This is a pretty straightforward show and I think it follows that they both live and continue on with their wrestling careers. |

So from what I understand, Mei sacrificed her life to end the monster, and then Miki is traumatized by her possible "Death", because I don't know if the blood is the monster's or Mei's. and the ending left me confused, because the impression it gave me is that the two died somehow because of that monster and the last scene is her in the ring as if it were their "Heaven". |

Around 20 minutes and 30 seconds into the movie there's a bargain bin Ataru and Lum in the crowd |
