Pretty cool that these last two episodes focused almost exclusively on Kuririn and the others.

What are you even talking about? This is the thread for episode 132 of Dragon Ball not Dragon Ball Z.

As for the episode, it was alright...For whatever reason all of these training episodes haven't really been doing it for me. Something about them just feels so... dry.

I didn't mind the training episodes but I didn't like the two episodes involving the lava fiasco.

This was a pretty forgettable episode, and really the end of this era of the series, as everything's about to change rather drastically.

Ah, the villagers, especially the elder, are quite naive. It is pretty simple, the reason they were in danger isn't because of some guardian deity, but because they were inhabiting a part of the forest next to an active volcano. Fortunately, Krillin and the others happen to stumble upon them. If it were not for them, the villagers would have died in ignorance.

This is the last time we got to see Kid Goku and Krillin and the others younger.
Next episode finally a timeskip.

The villagers are simply lucky that Tien and the others were nearby - otherwise, they would have died by blind faith. Well, ignorance really. Nonetheless, it was amusing to see both Tien and Yamucha cast a dodonpa and a kamehameha simultaneously. Seems to have done the job.

It was a good episode.

Krillian tried well but this time Yamcha did the main thing. Though they were still in trouble. Tiens Dodon and Yamchas Kamehameha wave together at least saved the day.

Goku is still at nothing. He should try it not by strength but concentration. It's like Goku didn't get a word Mr. Popo said. I hope he understands soon.

Yeah they also saved the elder from being hit by mountain. They don't understand why Krillian and others were dancing on the stone like a fool? If it was not for the spirit then could have killed those four. And the lava? It would have flown over the village of course.

I've really enjoyed this anime as a whole, and I think most of it is a total blast, but I gotta admit this entire popo training arc has been miserable for me
The King Piccolo arc was incredible but this is just such a drag..

Agreed, after the King Piccolo saga these more recent episodes haven't been as interesting and entertaining but that's because most, if not all, of these recent episodes have been filler. At least the ending of this episode implies that the next martial arts tournament is about to begin so this is probably the last time we see Goku and Krillin as their younger selves. I'm definitely looking forward to both the next martial arts tournament and seeing how much the entire gang has changed in three years.

I thought that this filler training arc was cool until I realized we NEVER saw Goku make the slightest of improvements or Krillin and co reach Karin Tower. It was cool to see the training ig but there's no payoff. And I'm really sad that this was Kid Goku's sendoff...

The gang does it again, while Goku struggles with his training. Maybe he’ll be strong enough soon.

The last episode we see Kid Goku (if we ignore Dragon Ball Daima and Dragon Ball GT, where he reverts back to a kid, as he's just an adult in a kid's body in those shows), as well as Kid Krillin. Because starting from the next episode, a timeskip happens, and they're all adults. End of an era. Funny how we only see Kid Goku for just 132 episodes. The rest of the show, he's an adult, and in the dub, a different voice actor voices him.
