DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well this a nice series that tries a little ecchi in the following,  but not too much. Lunch and girls are always a plus in some people in making food taste better but I would not do that tradition of eating it from a naked girl. No, that I had a bad experience seeing it in Hen Zemi. More later. |

| This has to be the most ridiculously retarded no, brain dead anime I've ever seen in my life. It's premise as just as absurd as how hollow as the characters are. The most intelligent part of the whole episode was without a doubt the super market's bgm. No, seriously. It takes a lot of effort to make me this flabbergasted, and to make things worse, it took less then half an episode to achieve that. I dare say Mars of Destruction is more deep than this show. At least people were fighting for a reason at MoD, while in this thing, they are fighting for discounted lunch boxes? Really now? Did the author run out of ideas that badly that he had to use people fighting to buy discounted food as a premise? Really? I refuse to accept. There is no way this can be right! I'll stay for more an episode. I must have missed something. Really. |
| ive watched a lot of some dumb shit but this one is close to the top... this is just plain retarded i have so many questions...is there crack in those bentos? are they really fighting over the equivalent of a dollar? do people in the background not see this as odd? ive never been so lost in an opening episode ever, this tops asobi ni iku yo by far. |

| Wow what a difference a roll back makes eh. To repost what i said before, i found it very funny and the actions were very well choreographed. Im glad that it has a good sense of humor to it and doesn't take it self too seriously. It was by far my favourite and most entertaining premier ep of the autumn season so far. Very impressed so hopefully the following eps continue in the same vein. |

| "Tonight I dine on bento!" Wow, what a ridiculous setting for a series! Fight to the death for half priced bento! What else can you do when you're living by yourself solely off your allowance? xD Well can't say it isn't intriguing and the characters are nice, especially Sen "The Ice Witch". I just love her design. =3 I'll think this'll be a very enjoyable show! I was laughing my ass off the whole time. From now on he'll be taught the ways of the bento warrior! |

Fighting over sales is a basic running gag with housewives and has been done is a bunch of other shows. Turn on the News around the Christmas season and there will be reports of real fights breaking out because of sales. Ben-To has only taken that idea to the extreme and made it specific to the unimaginable, bento(oh noes something Japanese). |

It is quite a comedic talent to ignore the thing that stands out the most but then again there's is something called suspension of disbelief which is generally required in order to enjoy fictional works. How many anime explain what's going on and why in the first episode? It's not like no anime has every completely explained it's plot and character motivation in the first episode but it is far from normal story telling. |

Were you really expecting something...SUBTLE?! I liked it. I LOVED it, it is the right kind of over-the-top-ness and crazy that anime somehow misses sometimes. At least for this first episode. The comedy is the absurdness of it all, so take it over leave it. By the comments though, it seems like people were expecting...more? Or something more directly comical? 1/2 price bento is surius buznes. |

| I think this show construes the conspiracy of Japan fighting violently over food shortages so much as to go nuts over half prices. Could be a message that economy is down so start getting aggressive over discounted necessities emphasizing food. The message could be as simple as having money for food is hard as a student with other fees. The messages are multiple but it's better not to take it seriously and just laugh out the fights. They certainly should not be taken too seriously either more than slap stick comedy. |

| It was better than I expected from the synopsis. You don't have to take it serious even the show seems silly, since there are countless sillier anime and comics in Japan. Well, for example, read some Hideo AZUMA's works like "Brat Bunny" or "Methyl Metaphysic" and you wiil be something different from what you are now. (Be careful of the usage) |
| I usually prefer more "serious" plots but i've just watched this and i found it pretty enjoyable. I've seen worse. Well fighting over food or something else isn't so uncommon so i wasn't really surprised or anything; It was funny and honestly you don't expect some super developed characters or whatsoever in this kind of show. I'll probably keep watching as long as it's funny. |

| I don't care what anyone says but I really like this anime! The weird plot adds on to the insanity of the anime. And I'm pretty sure the anime is a comedy. It doesn't say it now but I'm pretty sure that it will be added later on. But people fighting over half priced food?! Thats hilarious! |
