| I'm hoping they convert it to work better as an anime parody of a parody. I see that's what's going on in the manga, and it's been going on as such, but I still find it fairly boring. It just doesn't capture NisiOisiN's usual wordplay as well. There are some good parts here and there, but they could trim a lot and go all out with the satire. |

I totally did not realize that the battles were satirical, but that was probably because I was reading it when I was a shounen, and had no idea what was going on. Thus, I dropped it. I also faintly recall dropping it because there wasn't enough romance. But with the advent of the anime, as well as your concise analysis, I will pick up the anime. After that, I can consider reading the manga. It's currently on hold now. |

| When Jump titles got adapted this past year(NuraMago, Bakuman, Beelzebub etc), I said to myself, "Hey the only ones missing are Medaka Box and Kuroko no Basket. Would be cool if they also got adapted." And then this day arrived. And the announcement is at the same time. As a Jump reader, I am very happy. I've been following those two manga ever since it started. Though I'm more excited on KnB that Medaka tbh. Medaka... I can't really say what I feel about it. Let's just say that ever since the Flask plan it just became a chore to read. I'll still watch this though. I heard that Gainax will handle this. Any confirmation? Should be fun if it is. Again, 2011= Jump year. And Psyren adaptation where? |
