SO far the entire season has been full of trainwrecks(cough bloodC cough) or generic fanservice or generic school life. This is nice change of pace with quite unsettling and awesome atmosphere. |

| yeah.....no at first i'd agree, but the characters constant rage is getting really annoying and tiresome. now it's just annoying. i'd almost say this is the worst of the season but alot of others are pretty bad. |

| Defnitely one of the highlights in this outstanding season along with Usagi Drop and Mawaru Penguindrum. And one of the few (only ?) original and well-directed robot shows we've seen since Gurren Lagann. |

Kamisama DOlls on other hand might be more usual, however it juggles the atmospheric emotional changes REALLY well. Moments of happiness and brightness are followed by self-introspection and sadness and show does not fear to go into quite huge lengths into each spectrum. And setting, characters, their interactions, etc feel real. Village and its dreaded secrets and old traditions feel real. City and its lifeless landscape feels real. Not to mention that I'd say that main characters of Kamisama dolls are more complex and interesting than those of Penguindrum. Its nice to have a vilain and hero who both don't want either of those roles, yet are both at once. The supporting cast so far is quite stellar too, and characters have a lot of chemistry with each other. How much of Aki does Kyohei see in himself? How much Of Kyohei does Aki see in himself? Whatever the case, both these sides of same coin are pretty much same. Not white, not black, just gray and had situation been a bit different, they would be in each other's shoes right now. The more philosophical pat of exploration of human nature is also nice, even if its not that deep. Does man make its tools he has been given evil? Or do the tools given to him are evil because of the man? Is the inherent nature of every person is good? Or Evil? Or both at once? I can say proudly that the show is pretty much the most anticipated thing each week for me. Also bonus points for the show doing BEACH EPISODE ....and then completely avoiding, averting and lampshading every possible fanservice trope that might have sprung from that. |

| I know it can be pretty slow at times, but i'm actually quite enjoying watching this. Its not one of my most favourite animes but I look forward to watching the episodes. I don't know, there is just something I like about it lol. Usagi Drop is one of the best as well. |
