Naruto and Bleach are popular, and Zatch Bell is similar to both of those series. What could have went wrong?

It stopped airing on many channels(first being Cartoon Network and this occurred in the middle of the 1000 Year Old Momodo Arc) , then episode 104 was the last one in English(this happened right before the Faudo Arc), and they half-assed the ending(they didn't even get to the King's Festival Arc)
This and boring fillers is probably what is responsibly for a lack of awareness for this anime.
Now, count up your sins!

Awful animation -smirks-

I have not seen it, but I'm not even trying to watch it in future. Looks stupid.

i blame the dub of the show for it not being recognized, since the dub made the show seem like a childrens show by taking out the blood and some weird dubbing

The main charachter looks very strange. I guess because of this. But this was exactly what attracted me to this series. And I never regretted it.

Probably because of JD's stated reasons, and there are quite a lot of filler between the 20-50 episode mark. There are some hardcore viewers who may persevere past the meaningless episodes who have become accustomed to filler in other shows, such as myself who has seen both Inuyasha and Naruto which are infamous for their fillers. But others who might have just been casually watching it on Toonami would have no reason to continue watching it if they view it as merely childless/aimless, so that could be another main reason.
