An official website opened for a television anime adaptation of Takuma Yokota's Ponkotsu Fuuki Iin to Skirt-take ga Futekisetsu na JK no Hanashi (The Story Between a Dumb Prefect and a High School Girl with an Inappropriate Skirt Length) manga on Tuesday, revealing the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured above).

Daiji Iwanaga (Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru) is directing the television anime at animation studio Zero-G. You Himuro (Dungeon Meshi animation director) is designing the characters.

Yokota began serializing the romantic comedy manga in Shounen Sirius magazine in March 2019. Kodansha published the 16th volume on January 17, with the 17th volume scheduled to be released on April 9.

Synopsis
Sakuradaimon takes his role on the school's Public Morals Committee very seriously. Every day, he dutifully checks students' appearances at the school gate—most often scolding Kohinata, a rule-breaking girl with bright hair and a short skirt.

Though she finds his constant lecturing annoying, everything changes when she discovers that Sakuradaimon is actually a bit of a mess himself.

A lighthearted short romantic comedy about a strict committee member, a bold classmate, and the chaotic school life that brings them together.

@tragedydesu Can't be arsed about the rest but I'm genuinely puzzled by love triangles...? Unless for your the usual "omg he likes another girl because he said hello to her" is a triangle, somehow...?
"The problem with defining even an aspect of your personality by something that you like, is that criticism of that product appears to you to be criticism of you personally. I find it to be a very harmful attitude, [...] you can't rationally discuss a product because you've started to define yourself by its very existence."

He has harem/tsundere/re:zero derangement syndrome, don’t bother.

@Kurgo
i just checked the tags , blame the one who put them in mangaupdates not me x)

since the main couple is clear from the beginning i'm assuming the love triangle must be something trivial that got resolved fast or maybe the tag is wrong

@Yotsuba84 Stop overacting. Zero G is a decent studio.

I like the synopsis and the couple of chapters I've seen, but the character designs seem a bit rough. That's not usually a problem with anime though.

@tragedydesu It's a typical romcom based on an original pairing/original characters like Shikimori, Aharen or Komi-san. If you like that kind of stuff, it's a great choice. But yeah, the female lead is a very flamboyant tsundere, if that's what matters.

@LeonhartAugust I haven't seen any particular negative reaction to tsundere in a long time. Honestly, it was more pronounced in the second half of the 00s and 10s, when every second female lead in romance was a tsundere.

If anything of this author should have gotten an anime it should have been
Onanie Master Kurosawa. Elementary school me was fascinated with this story.

@ZXEAN you can count the frames in every episode they do because moving the frame on still images doesen't count as more frames, and zooming in on stills doesn't count as animation either.

the success of grand blue the "animation" - i mean stillframefest, with annoying music - is like as if Amy Schumer was successful with George Carlin's jokes.

It would be more interesting if they chose to adapt Onanie Master Kurosawa or Chikan Otoko instead, but ok.

Onanie master Kurosawa getting an adaptation would've been legendary, but hey, at least the author finally opened his account.

Used to like this one... But for some reason turned into a chore and dropped it. Will wait for the trailer and give it a chance anyway out of curiosity since I liked the first volumes.

As for chikan Otoko and onania
master Kurosawa , those are manga I wanna SEE as anime the most... But at the same time I dont. I just can't picture an studio doing them justice in an specific waythat would make me feel satisfied. And i'm gonna Say it: I find it easier seeing an studio adapting properly something like vagabond or innoncent than this type of manga.

Art style has a little bit of a western vibe going with it.
