Why isn't Sakamoto Days in the Crunchyroll awards?

I get that anime like Dandadan have been done for a few months, but Solo leveling and Sakamoto Days definitely ended around the same time. (And I get that Solo came out last year) Blue Box is also Netflix only and was nominated? Is someone hating?

it's anything that aired between October 2023 and December 2024. Sakamoto Days started in January 2025.

Dandadan was previous season, sakamoto days was the most recent one. Crunchyroll does not include the most recent season because of recency bias.

Because CR is so incompetent, that for them a year starts in April.
They did this change after Fall 2022 season was just too good and they were afraid of recency bias. Yeah, it is stupid as you can see now.

CR used to do Fall through Summer season and hold the awards earlier in the year but this year they're adjusting it to follow the calendar year, so Winter through fall. Because that would leave out Fall 2023, this is the first and only year to have 5 seasons of eligible anime. Fall 2023 through Fall 2024.

On a side note Solo Leveling is only nominated for S1. S2 is not eligible this year so it will be in next years, not that it'll matter since people are too hyped to know what they're actually voting for. They really should have specified it and I feel like it was on purpose.

cuz sakamoto days wasnt eligible for the awards, it got released in winter 2025. And even when it is eligible i doubt it will be nominated, it would be a pretty bad year of animes if sakamoto days enter a top 5 of best anime of the year.

I know what Sakamoto Days is. I know it probably can't hang with the actual top 5 or 6 or whatever, but SURELY it would get some nomimations. Say what you will, but as a series it has become one of Jump's juggernauts and was a highly anticipated anime.

They really should have specified seasons... Solo, Frieren, and Apothecary have so many episodes now

if iam being honest, the first part is quite mid actually, it's just starts decent and ends decent. I know it's going get good but, that doesn't mean this season was peak shit, or it lived up to it's hype, the fans hyped it too much, when it has a slow start, I enjoyed ishura more than this anime.

what i am saying is, this season was average at best. and I am looking forward to season 2 or part two.
