| So I’m gonna use this as a opportunity to review horizons as a whole since technically the story has come to a end and is beginning a new story. But before that I just wanna mention the episode. Generally this was a really good episode, it served as a good wrap up to the story and I think it setup the next story very well. But I have to say this Friede and Charizard being cut off from the rest of the group was genuinely one of the biggest shocks I’ve had in a Pokémon series ever. Like the caught me so unbelievably off guard. Now to talk about Horizons as a whole this is without a doubt the best Pokémon series as a whole and personally I have only one complaint about it which is the overuse of charizard, pickachu and rayquaza but I understand completely why they do that those 3 Pokémon are essentially the poster girls of the entire franchise. I can not tell you how incredible it has been to see a face which wasn’t ash, I understand ash had a legacy which can’t be matched and it will never bring back the hype for the average watcher anymore. But for someone like me I can confidently say Liko is an amazing mc with a great team of Pokémon and I also firmly believe Friede is the greatest Pokémon professor in any Pokémon series. Not only that I’d argue Amethio is an amazing character as well. He has had some phenomenal characters development. Roy I wasn’t keen on as a character but I mean he wasn’t bad. Same with dot honestly. I think not having just the same formula of gym hopping was amazing and the story was interesting to see unfold. The climax was a little underwhelming but I really don’t mind that much. Overall an amazing Pokémon series which I unironically like more than XYZ. 8/10 I’m very interested to see the beginning of the new story. The mega evolution trait coming back is amazing and I love that we’re getting a time skip as well. I think the plot has already been set up very well. Find Friede and restore the rising volteccers reputation. I’m all for it Also side note: this is only personal preference but I’d love one day to just see a character like Liko on a journey by herself with just her and her Pokémon exploring whatever place growing stronger with time. Essentially the same thing as the games do, obviously their can be characters which show up multiple times but I just want a series with 1 mc and their Pokémon |

| So this is the end of the main story arc for Pokemon Horizons. Overall, a pretty predictable finale compared to general Pokemon anime standards. The only thing that remained a mystery untill the episode's airing was how Friede would be removed from the new story. I'm not a fan of this choice. Cheap drama was chosen over substance, when even for 10-year-old children, who are the target audience for this anime, it's obvious that Friede is not dead and will probably return at the some moment of the story. He had to be moved to the background because from now on the story will focus on the younger characters and that's all. I also don't like the fact that Dot is still on the background and a new character will be introduced into new story. As if for what? We have 3 kid characters, why a fourth? I have the impression that the creators want to push the both girls into the background and by giving Friede's Pikachu and Lucario to Roy they want to make him an Ash 2.0 and also by adding a second boy, they want to give the series the of Ash & Goh dynamic from Journeys. A VERY bad idea and typical for anipoke lack of creativity. It's basically throwing everything that happened in Horizons so far away into the trash. Get ready for a several dozen filler-like episodic stories in which nothing interesting happens besides the mega evolution marketing to remind people of this gimmick before the Pokemon Legends Z-A release. |

| Sad ending :( Liko lost all of Lucius' stuff and Friede got cooked and they lost him for a year now (didn't expect the time skip already) hope he's doing good... though the Brave Asagi's transformation to a jet was absolutely epic ahah |

| Was clear that a hostile take over would happen, seeing that the rest of Gibeon side were well, especially Spinel that was more on-field villain. And Gibeon just peace disappear. Oh yeah! The button, and Liko have school. Friende will appear next arc with amnesia. Mark my words. |

| Spinel you monster, and that explains why Cap had Friede's googles on the promotional poster, it is a good way of powering down the Rising Volt Tacklers so they can't rely on him for when things go south for a while, so as expected Roy is going to be the focus and main character of the new arc, on one hand it would be nice if Dot also gets her own arc but honestly I don't particularly like him, I find him to boring and too safe, love Liko as a MC since she had her doubts but we saw growth in her, she was an example of trying to bring more females to the main spot done right, not only that but they added another another boy who I guess will also have a lot of spotlight, oh well. |
