Actually there IS a Dragon Ball GT manga, but it came out later on.
| @unn4meless There was an anime comic released. It was based on Dragon Ball GT anime. Technically, it wasn't a manga, but an anime comic. ;p Funfact: there is a doujinshi adapting DBGT storyline by emulating the Toriyama-sensei's style. It's fun and really well-done. |

Super Dragon Ball Heroes is a direct adaptation of the game, which itself was created from the Dragon Ball Manga. That does seems inconsistent indeed, but i guess they prioritize such relations instead of the "Original" tag, which was meant to be used for works not created from established franchises. |

Ahh fair enough. I guess it makes sense that 'Original' would be exclusive to anime that are not based on existing franchises and thus are truly original. Meanwhile for things like GT they pick the next best thing, which would be the original manga in this case since that's what it's a continuation of. Thanks, I think I understand the logic a bit more now. |
