Anna the maid lol

Jokes aside, they gave time for her to learn from Grace. I'm starting to find Anna more likable after this. Maid Anna also seems to take her job seriously in her role.

Another amazing episode! Safe to say at this point this isn't the game world, but another world based on the game. Pretty obvious that Grace is the actual protagonist here which explains why these routes and events seem similar, but different. Unfortunately, Grace is NOT beating the MC allegations lol.

I wish I loved anything as much as Lambert loves magical wands. Thought we might have been making some progress with he and Anna, but nah she is still very much a Grace simp. I don't even think her brain would allow her to be attracted to anyone else at this point.

You know I never even considered what Grace's original spirit must be going through. Seeing her locked up in a cage like a bird was really sad. One day she just lost consciousness and lost her entire life to some random middle aged dad. Shades of Bookworm. She had her own life and ambitions and they were kinda stolen from her.

Anna's servant trial went pretty well lol. She looked so cute in her maid outfit, but more importantly she learned a lot about what it means to be a noble and care for your community. Too bad she thinks it's too serve as Grace's servant rather than be queen herself one day lmao. What's really cool to me is how much the Auvergne family care for their community and people. Might seem absurd to have 300 people as servant staff, but employing that many people ensures a large portion of your domain have well paying jobs and can contribute to economic development/taxes. It's a reciprocal relationship that leads to prosperity at large. It's no wonder so many people look up to Grace's family.

I thought the maid who could warm up things with her hands' story was so sweet too. Not to be demeaning, but she was literally born to be a made/hairstylist. Just perfect for the job and it's great the Auvergne family never looked down on her or made her feel like she was lesser. Treated her with so much dignity!

These Anna and Grace misunderstandings will be the death of me, they really be in two different worlds when they talk lmao. Grace over here thinking she's prepped Anna well to be queen and Anna just thinking how good a servant to Grace she'll be.

Grace route still going strong.
We learned a lot about the household Grace lives in.
It certainly is well staffed.
And it looks like things are being run pretty well i still wonder how Grace got the bad personality tho (Before she was taken over by the main).
It's also nice seeing Anna staying over to learn new things.

Superb episode with superb world building! it's actually tied to Anna character development and Hinako understanding of the game's world rather than being simple expositions.

Funny episode as always. Love how Grace & Anna are just never on the same page, yet they always agree, it's always hilarious to me. That dream of Grace was a bit creepy though. Usually, in animes where people reincarnate in another body of another world, it's a done deal, you never get such a scene that makes you feel like the actual owner of the body is imprisoned while the one operating is the one in control, imprisoning the actual owner, so was a bit of a creepy scene, but liked the episode nonetheless.

keep repeating "it's an otome game" until the grave.. but you know the fact, the story became a softcore yuri game.

How delusions work both ways...

How much oldman is trying to hook up Anna in different routes only route she is progressing is Yuri route..

First time I see these mansions getting any explanation in these otome animes. Matilda story was very wholesome.

Great episode, but it's also the first time I've seen it stray a touch off of the source. Don't remember the manga having the storyline about Grace's hairdresser. I may have just forgotten it, though.

I wonder if there will be a yuri in the end... Like, it seems like Anna doesn’t match with any of those "suitors" but rather with the villain herself.

for a moment i thought the dream sequence made the dad and the real grace switch places.
him grabbing the bars only to wake up tightly holding anna's wrist could imply something but that is a big stretch

Anna's misunderstandings and fangirling moments over Grace were as fun as always :)
Very interesting that we got to see what seems to be the 'real' Grace for the first time in this dream world.

Pretty good episode overall.

Ana and Grace are on completely different pages as usual, misunderstandings continue.

The details about the duke's estate and the maids were really interesting.

As for the caged Grace, I think the real Grace has locked herself away after realizing that people prefer Kenzaburou as Grace rather than as herself (judging by her expression).

I am really enjoying "From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated!", it is hilarious and fun.

( My next comments are just me thinking out loud, please no spoilers of the written material, thank you )

But in the back of my mind...

I have wondered about the connection between the older Japanese gentleman / father and the young woman named Grace in this world, which is based on the game the daughter was playing, now watching and interacting with, as her father is navigating his role as Grace.

I have also been wondering what actually happened to the "other Grace", did she die or is her soul still inside this body, that now houses the soul of the older Japanese man, who was isekai-ed into this world after he died.

The episode that had "Grace" summoning a creature seemed to show "two souls", the soul of the older Japanese man and the soul of Grace, which were combined into one to make that dual powered dragon.

And this new episode showed a dream that had the female Grace trapped in a cage of some kind, with the older Japanese man walking freely, and when he touched the cage it began to shine brightly, but this was not explained.

It caused more questions to think about, but not many answers are being revealed yet.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

It is nice that they talked about employing so many people. Paying their employees well will in-turn ensure the circulation of money in their territory resulting in further prosperity.

So that’s where the original Grace has been, it looks like she’s basically trapped in her own body as Kenzaburou takes the reins, so this has me wondering if there’s a way to get her out or not, and what happens when she does. Would it be a DBZ Abridged situation with Kenzaburou existing alongside Grace in her head like Nail did in Piccolo’s head? A bit of a weird example but it’s the first thing I thought of lol, I guess time will tell.

And the stuff with Anna being a maid made for a sweet bit, I never expected to learn so much about the Auvergne estate and how it works but it was really cool, it really is like its own community, and the maids we know are just a few examples of the great employees there. I especially liked Mathilde’s story, it’s a wonder the canon Grace turned out to be a villainess with such sweet servants but at least she had that nice moment with Mathilde as a child. And that last bit between Grace and Anna, I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen such a fluid conversation carried out between two people that were talking about something completely different lol, but it was a nice scene to end the episode on thanks to that sunset.

This Otome game is progressively turning into a light yuri Visual Novel and Kenzaburou's daughter is the only one who seems to notice xD

Enjoyable episode. Didn't expect the lore surrounding Grace's family estate and her family's contribution to the community but it sure was pretty interesting to listen to.
Mathilde's story was heartwarming, btw.

"We otaku live for this kind of foreshadowing."
Now that you mention it (8:37), what was that dream state where Kenzaburo finds Grace in a cage all about? Is the original Grace locked away somewhere?

A lot of stuff we see in the OP has happened in later episodes. Maybe that will include the part where Grace and Anna dance?

Interesting interpretation. I've been waiting to see that scene in the OP with Grace in the cage and Kenzaburou outside it covered in one of the episodes, and it seems like this was the one. Still, I was hoping to hear the real Grace at least say something. 4 episodes left for her to show up. I'm guessing she will, because no parent can guide their child forever.

Hmm, dunno why but there's not much going on nowadays. It felt too repetitive. The only scene I am fond of for this episode is the dream scene of MC finding the true Heroine in a cage, and as he tried to touch it—it glowed. Other than that, there's none.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Mathilde you legend for giving grace her signature Ojou Ringlets. It's also great to see how wise and kind the Auvergne family has been over the years. They do their title as nobles proud!

This anime went from basic otome game to Pokémon to Downton Abbey while still keeping its charm😄.

Glad they confirmed what type of isekai this is. I do wonder if (real) Grace can see what (Dad) Grace is doing?

It is crazy how Anna is going for her yuri route, while (Dad) Grace is on his Yasujiro Ozu-tip trying his best to figure out who to marry Anna off to.

today's episode gave more details to what goes on in and around Grace's family residence; even Kenzaburo's daughter was amazed at the details shared by the maids. but the Grace in the cage that Kenzaburo encountered, what does it mean?

This show is pretty funny so far, it is really shining by taking the gag to the next level instead of the crappier shows where its a one time afterthought (In Another World with my Smartphone), while still following the same old Otome game tropes. Him being such a dad but somehow making it work as an ojousan is just brilliant, it's never predictable how he handles predictable situations. Plus it has the catchiest ED of the season. I always notice new little details like the mom on the couch has one of those sequined pillows (just like his suit and Grace's jacket in the ED) that you rub to change the image and she swipes it back and forth between Grace and her husband. LOL

I don't want this show to do it, but honestly I would like to see one of these shows where someone is reincarnated as the villain in an Otome game say F it and just run with it and try to be even more evil than the actual character.

OMG... the pro monarchy discourse in this episode is so bad. It believes itself to be smart and mature, but it's simply naive. I'm one who believes we have to understand the circumstances of the characters to be able to judge them properly, but that doesn't mean endorsing the system that makes them who they are. It made the series lose a few points with me

For once, the anime showed the servants, the manor, and the details of it. That's really rare.
