A special child entrusted by that person, Shion spent his days studying magic while grappling with the words his father, spoke one night. However, after reaching a plateau in his research on fire, lightning, and water magic, he decided to take the next step by embarking on a monster hunt.

Although an unforeseen situation arose, Shion, Marie, and Rose faced off against a kobold. Shion used his magic, while Marie and Rose fought with their swords, successfully defeating the kobold and taking a moment to catch their breath…

It is a little funny that Shion does not need to say any "chants" or "spell" to do the "magic", but he is just calling out the names he gave the reactions that he discovered, which will help the girls know what to expect.

This was a good episode with them becoming adventurers, Shion being able to use his new reactions in action, and they also learned more about their father, gaining more respect for him.

Funny how the father looked visibly afraid of the wife's reaction 😅 "Put the candle stick down"
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

I like how Rose and Marie are fighters and can use a bit of magic too, this family is pretty wholesome but it is starting to be ruined by incest.

Lmao bro is actually considering the incest route after coming to same realization that we did last week 😂

Incest jokes aside, it was lovely how the episode ended on a family centric note and made Shion realize that even if he isn't blood related to them, they are still a family. 👍

Really gotta love the family dynamic between everyone, especially how Emma and Gawain treat their children. They are such great, caring and supportive parents! 🥹

Also yay water magic acquired! The girls really seemed to enjoyed that one the most out of all so far! 😄

@KanameYuuki I like that part too! I also think it's neat how Rose and Marie use magic more for recreational activities rather than battle. Makes them unique in their own way. (Here's hoping the incest parts will be kept to a minimum going forward and that we get more wholesome family moments instead! ^^")

As soon as my boy realised it's not blood related Marie is an option lmao. I was loving the previous incest but if this goes full out with this MariexShion I am all for it. But man Shion is so similar to Rudy.

Combo magics look good and three of them finally got combat experience. It will help Marie get over a trauma a little.

I really liked the last part although with some weird degeneracy, Shion realising they are still family despite being adopted. Very wholesome. Such a sweet family.

So in the opening scene, he shoots some CGI magic effect and breaks a stump, and then remembers overhearing daddy-kun saying how he's adopted or something

Which immediately leads to him wondering

IF HE CAN MARRY HIS SISTER

I really liked how this episode showed that the two girls aren't just tagging along and contributing nothing. They are first shown helping Shion experiment and then quickly accomplishing the same magic. And then afterwards, they're shown to be competent fighters when battling the monsters. They're definitely capable fighters, and their teamwork was pretty good for the first battle

Like the magic, feel like it would be better as a non-isekai with some incredibly smart child researching an figuring stuff out, not only magic but also the things it reacts to it etc. Rly dislike the fact that he feels an atraction to someone that he has grown up with as a sister and on top of that is a child when he, before being isekaied, was 30 years old. Idm the sister simply cuz she do be a child but yk him also being like that makes it weird to me. But overall I like the magic, since it is a bit different from usual.

That intro is just weirdly... normal.
But even having seen such a weird intro, the rest of the episode was great.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Nice. I like the fact girls learned magic too, albeit basics.

Magic in combat turned out to be pretty op for now.

And why this show has to ruin it all with marrying sister bs. At one moment he's like "nah, she's my sister", and the next moment he's trying not to get hard with her and her mother near. Sighs... typical anime shit.

They want us to believe those two never bathed together till now??? That's probably the biggest bullshit this episode.

Japan, cool it on the sibling crap already… Even if there's no blood relation, it's still wrong. You might not have 1st millennium European royalty freak children, but that doesn't make it right. Genetics is only half the equation. If one of the relationships shatters, all the other ones with in a family follow suit. Each person takes a different side and all hell breaks loose. Everyone scatters as the whole family falls apart, and the young kids suffer from the most by growing up in a broken family. It's by no means an arbitrary taboo. Whether it's health issues or just the family dynamic, the kids suffer.

@portajohn

Yeah but you see, now that the MC knows the sister isn't really his biological sister, it's OK to fuck.

They really went the "what are you doing, step brother?" route. I didn't think this show could get any dumber.

Also, the friend, what the fuck is her point exactly? She doesn't even speak much, contributes as much as the background scenary in scenes, and in a normal show she would be the logical love interest. But there she is, for no reason at all, except the writer wanted a three people team (don't know why, the fucking father and his friend are also joining in now).

None of these characters have relationship with each other that feels close or realistic.. and you know what? I'm not sure I have to repeat this again, but a lot of these anime shows are just based on trashiest writer's attempt at storytelling. This trash 100% becomes famous because of artists drawing pedo loli pics for Japanese and Otaku perverts in rest of the world in some manga and is then puked into anime format.

The realization of Shion not being related by blood...then is marriage between stepsiblings possible?

Still, the focus on expanding magic remains the priority for Shion, and water magic is next in the pipeline, though it's not easy and volatile to handle until he gets the hang of it to teach both Marie and Rose. To further this progression, a monster suppression quest for the kids to validate themselves, though Shion's father quickly caught on their act to interrupt and get their facts straight, and as expected of any parent willing for education, Gawain endorses them all the more greatly due to his Diamond-rank.

The chance to try and use magic against monsters, and with Gawain's persistent push on the kids to train and be strong, it's defintely good experience...except when being interrogated by your own wife and hit with a candlestick lols. And sure, bathing with fellow family members while remebering that he's not related by blood, it's both heaven and hell, for a family that he can, at the end of the day, come home to.

Shion living the good life of supportive parents and his fellow sibling, what more can this be for a good time?

I'm calling it.
my best bet is he's the child of high ranking noble, might be the top, or he's literally a prince.
it so obvious to me now.
since his dad is a high rank adventurer, it looks to me that someone entrust him to his dad because he's the strongest adventurer out there.

Off course the mother's another bitch of an anime woman who beats up her husband for the dumbest shit and off course the husband takes it. Typical shitty anime comedy.
