I didn't really think Wieze would win that fight but it did still fight like maniac like the previous episode. This episode is still wild and Kuuro took in charge here. Really seems they couldn't solve this episode's problems without violence. It's like in the nature of this show to always fight. |

Been waiting for that episode ever since I read that part, didn't disappoint. They skipped a scene in the first episode with a young girl getting devoured by the Particle Storm. She met Linaris there who wrapped the wound on her leg in the bandage. But it was unclear that it was Linaris. And the reveal later that her death wasn't useless and in fact it went according to Linaris's plan. And the reason she killed him there, was because she couldn't let his body be examined by Auretia, if they did, her involvement would be revealed. Because right now Auretia believes that the vampires are dead. They also skipped another point with her attendants talking between each other, surprised that Mele intervened and being upset that Particle Storm didn't end up destroying Auretia and wondered if they should 'draw out Alus the Star Runner" and another said that "based on the Auretia's strength, they need to send someone like Lucunoca the Winter" and the other attendant said that "The Lady's body is too weak, just sending Particle Storm took a huge toll on her body" They skipped the part where Mestelexil thanked Toroa for not killing Kiyazuna as Toroa had multiple opportunities to do so, and the Old Toroa would've done that, but the New Toroa doesn't want to kill needlessly. And Toroa leaving the Blasting Blade behind, just so he can save Kuuro, goes to show that New Toroa is different, prioritizing lives. Toroa had beaten Mestelexil, but that was partly because he was in the vicinity of Kiyazuna, and a lot of Mestelexil's weapons will damage Kiyazuna, but still, considering the two are always close, Kiyazuna will always be a hindrance for Mestelexil, unless its a tournament setting. Also it was pretty obvious that Kiyazuna made Mestelexil, thinking about the Particle Storm. 1)he is immortal 2) has many tools that can beat the Particle Storm. I liked Kiyazuna's character adaptation. How she is very prideful, doesn't bow down to others, was willing to die just so Toroa doesn't get the sword and then the fact that she did it because Mestelexil's liked it and then even adapted the "Mestelexil found something he wants to do". A freestyle battle like this where anyone can join the battle at any point (or even any place if you're Mele, I think I'll call his battle intervention a "work from home") reminds me of Fate, but as Fate franchise getting bigger it becomes bounded by its own tradition, but Ishura doesn't have to follow any tradition, and the fact that all Ishura participants are not based on our real world historical figures or folklores makes Ishura very liberated. I'm a little bit sad that the particle storm doesn't have introduction card, yes he already dead but his story looming over 5 episodes is quite a significant portion. |

@phantomfandom He actually had an introduction, but they skipped it. It was during the first scene with the village chief getting devoured. There it is The disaster had a name—Atrazek. No other person had ever used this name because he was simply the calamity. He was enveloped in a particle offense, impossible to defend against, that infiltrated and gouged through any and every possible opening. He was enveloped in a particle defense, impossible to attack, bereft of any vulnerabilities. He could exercise his godlike authority eternally, never faltering. The embodiment of calamity, outmatching all living beings, turning his true form into the very mantle of ruin itself. Ruler. Wurm. Atrazek the Particle Storm. |

I liked this episode, but I would have loved it more if I understood some things about it. Firstly, why did Kūro try to kill himself? He says he wanted to use his eyes to save someone. Does he mean someone specific that we don't know yet, or does he mean saving people in general? If he means someone specific, I guess Clairvoyance is not showing him anything that would harm that person. I'm not really sure how Clairvoyance works either way. I think it can show him anything as long as it aligns with his (subconscious) desire(?) So my interpretation is that what he wanted wouldn't happen if he killed Atrazek / he died, but he somehow realised that was not what he really wanted. What I truly don't get is what made him change his mind and what he would achieve by killing Atrazek / himself. I would appreciate it if someone could explain that. I feel like something is missing. Bonus Question: Why did Toroa leave the enchanted sword to save Kūro? As far as I understand, he finds magic swords to prevent people from killing, like how Alus killed his father with enchanted weapons. But if that's the case, would he really think it's worth leaving the Blasting Blade to save a random person who was spying him? I don't buy it. (He may explain to Kūro why he saved him next episode, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.) ((Especially when contrasted with how good that final reveal was!)) |

Holy shit banger episode, one of the best ever from this show. This season has been a step up in every way, even though we’re taking ages to get to the royal tournament, I’ve enjoyed the characters they’re focusing on this time around. LMAOOO at the particle storm basically telling the Minians he was tired of them dickriding. They were too desperate The particle storm being a worm makes a lot more sense. I was wondering how tf they were gonna beat an elemental concept, fighting wind would be insane lmao. Toroa vs Mestelexil and Kiyazuna was dope. It’s cool how she can fight alongside her son in that tank/car. I didn’t care for Kuuro at all until the last couple episodes he’s been in, but newfound appreciation and respect. Really good character and it’s wild that he was so OP he couldn’t even comprehend his own ability!! This whole time he could see everything perfectly fine, he just chose not to. Cuneigh best girl for getting him help with his wounds, respect to Toroa for giving up the blade in exchange for his life too. I might have to root for he or Mestelexil in the royal tournament OH SHIT THAT ENDING. I thought Linaris was gonna necro Atrazek to use in her necro army, but making sure he dies the same way he killed everyone else, turning into particles was a fitting ending for him. Can’t wait to see where we go next |

@Hirugiku In the ending, Kyuuketsuki Hime mentioned meeting the girl before slaying the Atrazek. Damn, I really like Linaris the Obsidian. So far, a great introduction to the antagonist. And interesting interpretation of the vampire and his powers. A real beast, and oh so stylish. |

Absolutely fire episode, you could really tell it was a culmination of Volume 2 of the novel with all the characters we’ve come to know playing a part, I actually thought this before Linaris showed up at the end too, I was like “hey this involved everyone that was newly introduced, except Linaris… oh there she is!” lol. And her connection was really cool, never imagined she was a part of the very first scene of this season, so I guess she had Atrazek the Particle Storm in the palm of her hand from that very point, that is wild that she even influenced something of that size. And while I still very much so want Linaris to lose the competition, I gotta respect that she put Atrazek down in the same way he’s been killing others for so long, that little girl he killed in the beginning finally got avenged, Linaris definitely won some points with me for that, but she’s still a vampire unfortunately lol. And I also gotta mention how awesome the continuation of the battle from the previous episode was, I thought the storm showing up would make everyone work together but Mestelexil and Kiyazuna were STILL throwing hands with Toroa even then, that’s dedication lol, it was a lot of fun but I especially enjoyed when everyone finally turned their attention to Atrazek, including Mele launching the heavy artillery thanks to Kuuro’s guidance which was very badass, I gotta wonder if Toroa would have actually been able to end Atrazek with the Blasting Blade but I guess we’ll never know lol. And after the battle was over, I was very surprised Toroa just handed over the sword that he was there for in the first place, I guess that just goes to show his priorities, the swords are important but not if someone dies because of it, a lot of respect to Toroa for that. But upon getting the sword back, Kiyazuna and Mestelexil tossed it lol, I get Mestelexil wanting to earn it back instead, but Kiyazuna genuinely didn’t care since Mestelexil didn’t want it, I thought that was pretty wholesome, I gotta say this scientist and massive robot pairing might be my new favorite characters lol. And lastly, I liked the development for Kuuro, funny that his introduction was as he was getting shot but I think this was a great time to properly show his badassery, right when he discovered his clairvoyance hasn’t gotten weaker and ended a calamity like the Particle Storm, very awesome, also Cuneigh’s confession was sweet too, that’s gonna be a very interesting couple lol. |

@gorkthe134th He didn't try to kill himself. He is a ex member of Obsidian Eyes and he was bathed in a lot of blood once he was there, he wanted to stop bringing harm to others so his clairvoyance got weaker as a result. But it was something he didn't understand himself. If it didn't get weaker, he would continue using it to harm others. Because he would become useless to Auretia as they want to use his Clairvoyance to get rid of its enemies. He understood that eventually he'll become useless to them, probably after he gets rid of the Particle Storm and they'll get rid of him, so he subsconsciously weakened his Clairvoyance. He also tried to preserve his life more than anything, he didn't want to die. When it comes to what Clairvoyance is, it's hard to explain, but basically it's all the normal sences but enchanced to an extreme(if you remember from last episode, he could hear Toroa's heartbeat from all the way back). He focuses all of his senses in a particular direction(i.e Toroa/Particle Storm). So it doesn't get misdirected on wind for example. There are also other senses open to him like synesthesia, magnetic forces, sensing heat. gorkthe134th said: What I truly don't get is what made him change his mind and what he would achieve by killing Atrazek / himself. I think it was even mentioned in the last episode, how he expressed his fear of losing his ability and becoming like others, if I can provide an analogy, it would be like for us losing the ability to see things, that's what he was losing. Identity crisis, yeah. I don't blame you or anyone else for not fully understanding this, Kuuro is very confusing, especially in anime with less context. They also skipped some of the points of his character in the anime, like how he always treats Cuneugh with gifts because he was afraid she'd betray him, so to keep her betraying her, he tried to keep her happy, but in the later scene where she said she loves him, was where she was supposed to say "I never really cared about any gifts". Or how Kuuro kept her around because his clairvoyance was weakening, and he couldn't see every threat around him, so he needed an extra pair of eyes. gorkthe134th said: Why did Toroa leave the enchanted sword to save Kūro? He thought his life was worth saving, he sacrificed his sword, because that would let Kiyazuna give up her vehicle, without it, he wouldn't be able to get him to the hospital quick enough. had to look it up Mele is voiced by Talon Warburton whos Patrick warburtons son and they sound so similar. What a cool casting choice. Im glad Mele showed up again it kinda felt like the story dropped him. I still really didn't like Mestelexil. It took a long time to realize that Kiyazuna the Axel is a woman. Toroa has so much interiority. Very fun character. |

@Hirugiku Thank you for taking time to answer my questions. This is definitely the episode of this series I understood the least about when I first watched. After rewatching some parts of both this and last episode with a clear mind, I think I got it. Hirugiku said: "I'm afraid of dying. I'm afraid of killing. Then why am I still fighting?" - Kūro, last episode. He also tried to preserve his life more than anything, he didn't want to die. I think Kūro was conflicted about what he wanted to achieve. He didn't want anyone to die, but also didn't want to die himself. That's why Clairvoyance was not showing him accurate information; it wasn't showing anything that would cause someone, even himself, to die. And when he realised that, he knew that he had to make a decision: let Auretia kill him or let Atrazek kill innocent people. Not even Clairvoyance could find a way to achieve everything he wanted, he was too greedy, sacrifices needed to be made. In the end, he chose to save innocent people at the expense of his life. That is something Toroa values a lot as well, he respects someone that would do everything is their power to save innocent lives. Which is the reason Toroa is willing to give up one of his enchanted weapons if it means someone like Kūro can be saved. Hirugiku said: Side Note: Is Kiyazuna really a woman? I thought that was a mistranslation.that would let Kiyazuna give up her vehicle Both their appearance and voice seem male to me and I don't think we have any concrete evidence for either case. (No, I don't count Mestelexil calling them Mom. They don't seem like a reliable source in this case.) |

They also skipped another point with her attendants talking between each other, surprised that Mele intervened and being upset that Particle Storm didn't end up destroying Auretia and wondered if they should 'draw out Alus the Star Runner" and another said that "based on the Auretia's strength, they need to send someone like Lucunoca the Winter" and the other attendant said that "The Lady's body is too weak, just sending Particle Storm took a huge toll on her body"
They skipped the part where Mestelexil thanked Toroa for not killing Kiyazuna as Toroa had multiple opportunities to do so, and the Old Toroa would've done that, but the New Toroa doesn't want to kill needlessly.
So far nothing really have been skipped about Kiyazuna and Mestelexil.

So far nothing really have been skipped about Kiyazuna and Mestelexil.
@Hirugiku Did they explain how Linaris was walking on water? It happened when she was approaching Atrazek. |

They don't seem like a reliable source in this case.) Kiyazuna is female, yes. In the LN, Kiyazuna is referred as she. |

@Hirugiku Thank you for taking time to answer my questions.
This is definitely the episode of this series I understood the least about when I first watched.
After rewatching some parts of both this and last episode with a clear mind, I think I got it.

@gorkthe134th you put it in words quite perfectly about Kuuro and Toroa. Yeah, Kiyazuina is a woman. At one point of the novel she was refered to as an "elderly woman" |

Wow the calamity was... pretty okay-ish. I'm not mad though heh. Thought Kuuro was done for but got saved and with a nice character development on top of that. That whole confession from Cuneigh was adorable though ain't gonna cap. Next up, Linaris rlly is just mega mysterious all around yet again. Let's see which character or more will be introduced next! |

That was a pretty fun clash Okay so Mele was always standing guard against the particle storm is why he never left before recently I guess? That was an interesting turn of events that Kuuro was just sensing things not realizing it and changed his perspective and goals. Sorry cute little Cuneigh you're going to have to figure how to deal with that size difference between you and Kuuro lol It's actually kind of sweet Toroa isn't so much as his title suggests, he's kind hearted. So Linaris was behind the actions of Atrazek all along ? He seemed confused like she had him under her control. |
