If anything, Troa lives up to its reputation. Not just scary for its appearance and malicious abilities, but also just being an existence in their world. Episode felt kinda all over the place but even Mestelexil is in action. Hard to say which individual character is worth investing into with the variety of them. |

Oh man here comes the more real broken af folks. One is more than the other. We got another Alus like with a bunch of cool toys, wonder what the sword Alus nabbed is and why Toroa chose that among others. Was thinking both of Mestelexil need to be killed at once but guess that aint happening either. My guess is the only way is to kill one then kill the other before they can regenerate. Also that lady with the baby was real random lol. |

a fighter accepted the gun. he has a strong enemy to take care of but he and comrades have been taken care by him instead. a man living in mountain. and there are two moons (purplish pink and light blue)? it seems like he became a monster after that someone died fighting against that dragon from first season. two different robots fighting. and two humans watching from faraway. robot having reviving power? it seems like one of them are owner. |

The first half shows the battle between the older generation of the reaper (which is such a DILF) and the prince-charming dragon Alus. Just as I suspect, even though both seem like unstoppable force, but in a battle someone has to lose, and in this case it's the reaper that lose, and I should add that it's not even a close battle, it's almost as if it's going exactly as Alus plan it to be. That's why I don't think the reaper's son is a strong contender (he's hot though), yes he can easily kill those thieves, but I don't think he'll be stronger, or even as strong as his father, and his father is already losing to Alus whom I think is not that strong but has a plot armor. The reaper's son motivation is also mediocre, he just want to revenge his father, but his father is not even a good guy in the first place and he knows it. The second half is quite interesting, the giant robot will actually join the race, I could see him easily win against the vampire from the previous episode since he's a robot, but his mother's gonna take him to fight the particle storm which seems like a real world-threatening disaster. This anime always surprise me and that's a good thing! Overall I'm quite satisfied with this episode because it shows a battle between two strong characters and not just a strong character against much weaker enemy. I'm still waiting for a main dish but the appetizer is delicious. Again, this anime already kill a lot of characters that I love but it compensates by keep introducing even more characters, such a vicious circle! |

Was looking forward to this episode the most as Toroa is my favorite character. Gotta say, kinda disappointed in Toroa's part. 7/10. Mestelexil's part was 10/10, very satisfied, it covered everything. But it's kinda unfair, Mestelexil's part was 20 pages in the novel but got 10 min of adaptation, while Toroa's part was 30 pages but got 8 minutes. Obviously they skipped quite a bit and changed some stuff, but overall it was ok. The gray-haired child's part was great, no complaints there. Toroa's adaptation complaints 1) It was never mentioned that the original Toroa was a leprechaun and Yakon(the new Toroa) is a dwarf. Yet he called him dad, how strange... Yakon knew that he wasn't his real father, but still treated him as such. He also knew that his real parents probably died to Toroa as they probably got too close to enchanted swords. This information was crucial as it showed that despite everything he still thought of him as his father and took pride in being his son. 2) Original Toroa explained why he decided to be the grim reaper, to prevent anyone from getting a sword. But I don't know why anime changed the words that he used. He said that "even without enchanted swords, people fight. Enchanted swords are just a means to fight, they'll even use a pebble or a piece of wood into a lethal weapon." But in the anime it seemed like if he didn't guard the enchanted swords, they'd fight something else to fight over. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!!! 3) When Alus grabbed the Luminious sword with his whip (Kio's hand), it looked as if he sliced him in half with a whip, but it was a blade, it wasn't obvious. 4) For some reason they didn't explain why Alus was there in the first place, it lookedl ike he just murdered him and took the weapon as a prize, but he actually came here for that sword to begin with. He didn't mindlessly killed him for nothing, it was to take his sword. 5) The original Toroa was already dead when Yakon reached him, but here he was able to utter some words that he didn't utter in the novel while missing half of his body. I swear anime does it all the time and make the story look silly, but it was never supposed to be there. Then there are some minor complaints like during the fight, he'd use Ketelk and Yakon would feel angry that he showed his hand too early, as Ketelk is the sword with a surprise factor. Also wasn't sure if others realized that old Toroa was smaller in size, so the swords were scattered on the ground, sort of a graveyard of swords, but the new Toroa carries them all on the back because he is far brawnier. Oh, and one thing I liked about Toroa's part is that he mentioned all of his swords during the slaughter of bandits. It was better than in the novel when he used the same 3 swords. Still love this anime btw. |

“This was called a bolt action in the distant world” wait so is Earth confirmed an existing place in this multiverse? Is this world kind of like a marvel battle world where people from all different places converge? They hinted at it before with Soujirou origin and the way he dresses, but it’s never really been gone into depth on. Toroa using all the enchanted swords is gonna be a crazy tough out in the tournament, but then again all these people are so broken that you never know. But damn seeing him rip through all those guys using the various abilities of his swords was wild. Don’t blame him for going after Alus after watching his father die like that. Mestelexi’s case is really interesting, so he was a professor on earth and got brought to this world then experimented on to make a homunculus and basically reborn as a child? I’m guessing that didn’t have a good outcome for the original professor he’s based on.. there’s something deeply unnerving about effectively a child having that much power and being immortal. Like his laughs during that fight were so disturbing. But he also showed that he has a genuine playful and curious side when he took the flower from the little girl. Kiyazuna is actually more dangerous than him since she controls him like a weapon. Good episode, we’re getting more and more interesting characters and abilities in this. |

@Hirugiku I have to say that I found pretty clear what Aldus was doing there. And it's mentioned that Yakon is a dwarf. But not the other stuff, thanks for the info! |

This season of Ishura is getting better and better! All of the new characters are really interesting. We met Kiyazuna, who was a legend last season. He is the creator of the Nagan Labyrinth Golem (which destroyed Nagan Labyrinth City) as well as the Cold Star (which destroyed Mage City). But he is also the creator of my favorite character(s) of the season so far: Mestelexil. I'm intrigued by their ability to recreate one another; it reminds me of Andy from Undead Unluck, who can recreate himself and uses that in similar ways. Btw he says they are going to kill The Great Particle Storm?! I don't even know how that makes sense! I'm excited to find out though! Also, next episode is only part 1... |

We got another pair of uber powerful characters in this episode, being Toroa and Mestelexil. Toroa’s part was another gruesome display as he tore through those poor dudes, but there’s no better way to show how strong a character is than having them end lives like blowing out a candle lol, and all the swords were used pretty quickly so it was hard to tell what each of them did, but it was a very cool scene nonetheless. And it’s interesting, so the Toroa in the present isn’t actually Toroa, but that dwarf Yakon, so he has his own revenge story going on to hunt down Alus, it was cool seeing him again since he was one of my favorites from the first season, but damn he’s got a terrifying mf after him lol, if the two ever clash I imagine it would be very epic. And the 2nd half of the episode was dedicated to Mestelexil, a regenerative machine with a homunculus inside that works hand in hand in coming back to life after death, and he also has a childlike personality, an odd combo but the scenes of him battling those other two robots were very cool, I’m sure that old fella wasn’t planning for it but his machines were a perfect showcase of Mestelexil’s abilities lol, his robots were really cool too tho. And after all of that robot on robot action, that interaction with the baby was oddly wholesome lol, I thought for sure the mom and baby wouldn’t make it past the end of the fight but they somehow did, Ishura was nice to us today lol. But damn, so that Kiyazuna is planning on using Mestelexil to take on that massive storm? Okay lol, we’ll see how that goes. And lastly, so that was the gray haired child selling those bolt action rifles in the beginning right? Interesting that he’s bringing in some improved weaponry from our world, but if they’re impressed by the rate of fire on those, just wait for the machine gun lol. |

I also feel like Yakon's character was too watered down. Yes, he wants revenge, but he also doesn't like killing people, he just feels like he has to to continue his father's legacy. He's just a simple woodsman, and his admiration for his father, who he wanted to be like so badly to get his approval, has caused him to have a sort of identity crisis within himself. Toroa the Awful a legend who was killed by Alus the Star Runner but now he's back from hell to get the sword taken from him back. He's a master of numerous enchanted swords but will that be really enough to beat Alus the Star Runner the legend-killing champion? He is far more imposing than his father and much younger but does he have the skill to back it up? Then we got Mestelexil the box of Desperate Knowledge. He's effectively immortal as he's two separate existences at once and one will resurrect the other and it's impossible to kill both at once. He also has access to weapons from the beyond meaning he's not just immortal but also means he has great destructive capabilities. He can also learn and adapt from each death. But is this enough to kill the Particle Storm? A calamity? a god? whatever it is it's a force of nature and can you really beat that? I guess maybe if Mestelexil makes a Nuke or something idk what you'd need to beat the fucking weather. We also got our first look at the Gray haired child who's also moving the world up the technology tree with bolt action rifles though these obviously still inferior to Mestelexil's weapons. |

@LeWatcher Exactly, it's not like Toroa is very difficult to understand, so it shouldn't have been confusing for them. I feel like they couldn't really explain his character better as there was just not enough time. His part is 30 pages, but he got only 9 minutes, while Linaris was about the same length, but got 17 minutes. Kuuro's character was also not explained that well, despite him being the main character on the cover image. Forgot to mention that they also skipped Alus talk with Hidow on who the strongest opponent he ever faced was, giving further buildup to Toroa, that he was so strong that even Alus himself thought he was strong. I think his kindness will be shown later on and I hope viewers will understand that he is a fan of the original Toroa and forces himself to continue his path. |

super intersting episode. I think this is the first one this season where I'm super sold. Mestelexil and Toroa both rock. Awesome concepts and interesting character design. I also liked the nuggets of geopolitics that Ishura always throws every now and then. That adds more depth to it it which I really appreciate, it makes the story feel like it takes place in a living breathing world. But anyway to my complaints I had, I wasn't super sold on Kuuro. It really is like you could make a whole show just about him but that aint Ishura. The show goes on and i'll keep watching. Tho i do like Kuuro's voice actor |

It's a much weaker episode compared to the previous two, and the only good scene was the guy losing his father and wanting revenge to recover the enchanted sword. The rest was mediocre, including that mecha fight. |

The first episode was good, but in these last two episodes we have returned to the routine of introducing characters, just like the previous season, and it is clear that it is for a joint ending, but for my taste, that common thread is still missing. kekeke |

All the contenders seem broken which just has me licking my chops for when they actually come together to fight and see how they actually get around all the op abilities. I’m scared to grow to like anybody cus when the tournament starts erbody on deaths door. Staying anime only gone be tough. |

I don't get why Alus was going after the previous Reaper. Why did he want that weapon so badly he would kill for it? Okay so if I understood correctly Mestelexil's homunculus was created from an other worlder who was a scholar and this scholarly knowledge is brought into Mestelexil through experience, correct? That is really complicated lol Why is that woman there with her kid anyway. I dont get if she was placed there as a bait or if she just has the worst luck showing up there. Marinate1016 said: “This was called a bolt action in the distant world” wait so is Earth confirmed an existing place in this multiverse? I could see how you might forget. It was mentioned in first episode of the first season that Shoujirou is a visitor / other worlder which is told to you by the narrator voiceover during the naming sequence intro bit. I didnt even remember this but it was shown there being someone with long hair with a rifle from back view during a narration by Yuno mentioning him or her as a visitor / other worlder and she also mentioned Toroa the Awful as another powerful person (no mention of him being from elsewhere to be clear), and others that have not been introduced yet that seem like they are coming up. This episode mentioned a scholar from another world who was used as the base of the homunculus of Mestelexil. It's unclear if that person shown in very first ep yet to be revealed was where the knowledge of bolt action guns comes from or not. So there is at least three people from elsewhere confirmed. The scholar may or may not be alive depending what the homunculus creation process involves. So I think only two worlds are confirmed, this one and Earth, if there is more I missed any mention of it. An ignorant child in a powerful mech body in general is disturbing. I was worried he was going to rip that kid's arm off trying to grab the flower lol |
