Woah, this clip: It looks really impressive. This anime might be a visual feast if at least half of it will present similar production quality. I heard about this anime for the first time from my friend. Surprisingly, Momentary Lily seems to not be talked a lot on MAL, given how there were no threads created in its anime subforum until this one. Maybe rather low popularity comes from the fact that it's an anime original project? Who knows. So, what are your expectations regarding this show? From all the stuff I've seen so far, I say I'm quite excited to watch it. It looks like it will be a fun anime with a lot of creative stuff happening on screen. :P |

Well I'm excited for this one slice of life and adding action too. I guess people don't like cute girls doing cute things and kick a$$ on the same time. |

@Piromysl Some people just have different preferences, I guess. 🤷♂️ But there's nothing wrong with that. 😉 Especially when talking about something as subjective as whether someone likes visuals of a certain clip or not. No need to get too worked up about it. Only time will tell if the actual show will match the quality of that promotional clip. This anime will have its premiere soon, so all people who are interested in it will be able to check it out by themselves. |

Hmm, while Gohands' animation style does work well for shows with little to no dynamic, action scenes like Dekineko and Sukimega, the characters in action here look flat and out of place against the hyper-realistic background. The studio's penchant for unconventional camera angles don't help too. Anyway, I'll still give this a shot because it has Shion Wakayama. |

No, thanks, GoHands, and what is up with the blond's stomach in the thumbnail? Kisaragi_Toka said: I guess people don't like cute girls doing cute things and kick a$$ on the same time. Lycoris Recoil? |

@Fail_Man_X Well I see some people don't like that series (but not for me it one of my top ten) and really big fan of girls with guns genre I really wish to we had more. |

@Kisaragi_Toka Well sure. No series is universally loved. I've seen people dislike the resolution to Mashima's plan (justified) and people hate it because it's popular (unjustified), but I think opinions on Lycoris Recoil are generally positive. Although, looking through my list, a lot of the cute girl action shows I've seen are unpopular, lowly rated, or both, so I guess you have a point. |

@Piromysl Personally I think it looks pretty interesting. But I also like this studio's aesthetic sense and find weird offputting shit to be cool, so I'm definitely not the majority. |

sure it's not the best in terms of looks but the animation on a technical level is pretty insane here, fluid and detailed, for that alone now I am curious, if the story can build something decent with the mystery that would be cool as well |

@Piromysl I think GoHands beats the hell out of Ufotable when it comes to animation. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is the only show I've watched by them so I probably need to see more of their stuff to properly judge but I'm hyped for this show nonetheless. |

i like the sound design. which is pretty rare for an anime ... but not like there is anything else worth focusing on. if this was self aware it would probably be a hit. |

Knowing how GoHands does things, I'm pretty wary. But at the very least, it's far from Hand Shakers level of bad, and GoHands did put a could of solid shows last year, so at the very least I'm hoping that this will be decent cute girls doing cute things show. |

As usual with GoHands : - Too much unecessary movement, so it lacks impact when movement matters. - Too many reflections. - Too many lens flares. - Decors are still the same pristine lifeless high rise buildings than previous works. |

@Beatrice-KF Please, if Ufotable did it you would be praising it. In the end, preconceptions play an important part in what anyone likes. You don't want to like it so you won't, simple as that. |

@FreshnessAt The fact that you posted this emotional outburst after the first episode of this slop dropped is both ironic and hilarious at the same time. An actual professional anime studio can't even put a simple steam overlay properly! That's how clouds are casting shadows on the ground according to them. |

@Piromysl And if you can't understand style differences I don't know what to say to you. Apparently, an amateur knows more than a professional. Anyway, that is what I would expect from a westerner, Masters of I-to-know |

@FreshnessAt I'm not an animator but as a video game dev, I know at least what I'm talking about to some extent, the reflections look worse than what I did in my student years to implement my own raytracer. You just know I'm telling the correct stuff because it's actually GoHand's artistic trademark to have a shaky camera that keeps snapping in weird angles (it actually gives nausea, it's not even an opinion issue), it's also their artistic trademark to have the other stuff I listed. And the whole thing is just bad because there is too much, sorry, I don't want to pause at every second to be able to see what they want to show. I liked what this studio did for K project, Mardock Scramble and Coppelion at first, but they went too far when they did Wz, Hand Shakers and Scard. You're supposed to adjust the things that makes your studio recognizable amongst the others, and not double down on them "just because". They catched the Shaft syndrome with their own set of quirks, and they won't get better if we keep praising them for that. So basically yeah, you're assuming a lot of things about me and calling people bitches instead of explaining why this anime is so great, I suggest you start growing up, and you should be glad I actually bothered answering to your inflammatory post. |

@FreshnessAt Yeah, not buying that you are supposed "professional", but if you genuinely think that's the level an actual, professional anime studio should deliver, while they literally cannot do fundamentals properly, then you are delusional. |
