Drama Queen Chapter 2 Discussion

We’re getting a more detailed look at the society these characters are living in. I’m very excited to see where this goes. It’s crazy that the people against this series are starting to switch up on it with this second chapter. That’s probably a good sign. Anyways, Nomamoto is adorable!

Ignoring the drama around this series I kinda just don't get where this is supposed to go.
The aliens are one note assholes, who are easy to kill. So where is the conflict going to come from? It doesn't seem like there's going to be much of a moral conflict with the protagonist's actions as the aliens are all shown to be assholes. And there doesn't seem to be much conflict in pulling off their plan either, because the aliens are all weak and easy to deal with. If this story is going to be about the mcs being serial killers I'd like to see some actual tension and planning in killing the aliens. To make things interesting it should be trickier, but the guy took out 5 aliens and was able to move their bodies with no issue and it didn't even show how he did it. boring.

This is definitely NOT death note. I was frankly disappointed in the character's carelessness and the author's laziness demonstrated by the decision to have Kitami beat aliens to death in broad daylight a second time.

It's a criticism of the first chapter i noted, the characters are not asking the right questions or taking the right precautions. If the author wanted the viewers to suspend their disbelief and didnt want to bother writing an intelligent murder plot, he should have made the setting low-tech rather than advanced tech.

Though the presumed social commentary remains interesting, the plot at this stage is severely lacking.

@JKKH Well, we're only 2 chapters in, so it's unsurprising you feel like it. Like, how many series did you already know where they were going to go with only 2 chapters?

Also, are you somehow trying to imply that the duo has the superior hand in this conflict? Like yeah, the aliens are physically weak, but it was already established in the first few pages of chapter 1 that aliens have superior technology and the government on their side. Plus, the duo already have people after them.

@Cielord The story does a bad job at showing the alien's power. If the government favoring aliens actually impacted things that'd be interesting, but the guy was able to kill 5 aliens in the middle of a city street without even trying to be stealthy about it. It's like the characters aren't concerned about the possibility of being punished for their actions. They're being too dumb.

I know that they've technically been caught but I wish it was because they slipped up and it was more like a detective cat and mouse thing instead of just being found because of a satelite. There's not really a way to out maneuver a satelite seeing you, so it's like their actions don't even matter.
