| Nice job on Kei for making a eam. Seems after his appearance, he's showing All-star potential in the lineup. Feels like a buildup episode so I think he can only improve from here an on forward. |

| K is really growing up, isn't he. But this seemed like such a short episode, it was over before I knew it. It was obvious that he would be paired with Doujima. My hunch is that he will end up siding with his original gang and refuse to betray them to Seki. |
| At least Kei isn't sad about losing his toe for the sake of gamba, right? Now we have a new set of conditions to clear, earning a spot as a rep because business sucks. Having to clear three other vets to take the spot, a little bump in the road to clear. The hands that they showed all of in the last episode were nice, so it's good to get more peeks at the winning hands. Feel that at least by showing the hand we can eye for ourselves how they got the win. F to the yakuza man who got shot up the back, going out vouching for Kei. Nothing like negotiating underground business over mahjong. |

| @Love_And_Forward i think it's a bit too soon to say which is better, atm Touhai has potential but hasn't delved too deep in the minds of the players which Akagi/Kaiji part 3 did almost perfectly but Touhai does the underworld/yakuza vibe better, Also the secondary characters are more interesting here than in Akagi i'd say but we still miss a really memorable antagonist/player like Washizu was, the closest atm being Atakeyama which got an "interesting" chara dev you can say... Now if this is a complete adaptation it sure has to potential to topple Akagi's adaptation that let us remind us stopped mid arc of frankly a masterpiece part of the manga which is the most frustrating thing ever in my eyes. Frankly we should just be happy to get a real mahjong anime for once and not some shitpost like jantama pong was, i really thought the anime community would have accepted this one better but i guess i was wrong, Anyhow if this doesn't get to atleast +7.0 at the end i'll sure be mad because it currently deserves it even with its weak and inconsistant animation, the rest being way more than fine. |

| Kei now being part of the Ourin Group's Ichigun under Seki's guise, some executives are wary because of the latter being the cunning fox, but Kei as he is, remains calm under pressure, despite being worn out. His ice-cold demeanor puts the executives under immense pressure, that which puts Yanagi against the other members of the yakuza group despite his win. And a near assassination attempt to kill K off puts an unfortunate end to Yanagi to death, which the members on-site could not do much to save him. RIP Yanagi, you're Yakuza, but a bro first and foremost. The secret allegiance between the Ourin Group and the Tayao Group to determine territory with Seki as the middleman, and it's clear that the former group wants revenge over making K rep for losing Yanagi to put an end to the bloodshed. At the same time, Amina feeling nauseous is not a good thing, for the young man who constantly plays his life on the line. And if it's a mahjong war they want, they got it, thanks to the Ourin Group shooting down the hitman who shot Yanagi. As expected, a 5-round table with the likes of Kei and Dojima against Seki and another member of the Tayao Group...which turns out to be Hatakeyama with his head cut bald wanting low-sugar coffee, it's yet another match with familiar people once again. |
