Rated r18+ in Japan?

IMDb lists it as being rated r18+ in Japan (same age rating as the freaking Terrifier movies). Is this legit? That’s pretty darn rare for an anime, even the most graphically violent and sexual ones only get a 15 at most.

Ya, it is mainly due to the first episode. There might be one more showcase of that stuff in later episodes. However, the story drops that stuff going forward.

It does feel fetishised. Imo its worse than blatant nudity. And God forbid they make the characters 18+. I just feel wrong watching this shit

Japan always plays it safe, but I don't see why. They have shit there that will make you want to pour bleach in your eyes available there. I think they're just playing it safe because of the supernatural aspect, plus rape/sexual assault scenes. Then again, as I said before, there's a lot out there bordering on hentai/porn that has the 18+ tag, so who knows? 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
