How did happend? How do you get to the point that your kid stab you and you react like it's nothing? What does he know about his parents that they obey him? Did they do something terrible like that teacher and now he's blackmailing them? And if why didn't they confiscated the evidence, like they are his parent and he lives under their roof, couldn't they stood up for themselves when theikid started bully them. And the last question why does his dad looks younger than Okaya himself?

@Mayumai My thoughts exactly!! I was expecting something grand like the mother and son working hand-in-hand with their conspiracies, or the mother being prideful and narcissistic to the point where she raised Okaya to become her protégé/successor to maintain her legacy and authority in the family and police force— now toxic mindsets like THAT would've been SO interesting to explore from a psychological aspect! After all, didn't Maria admit how confused she was at how Okaya and his group could possibly get a kick out of all the torture and pain (even death) they bring to others?

Taking the easy route of Okaya overpowering his own PARENTS is such a turn-off imo, but I just hope the storytellers actually know what they're doing by going in this direction... the last few chapters have been kinda weak compared to the rest and that kinda upsets me bc I have so much hope for this manga and its story :')))

Just what the heck was this chapter? First we saw that wacky and irrational situation with Okaya treating his parents as slaves and even stabbing them, without any sign of them protesting against such behavior (?!). Next was that awkward situation with Maria and Yuda, happening as if Maria ran out of ideas on how to continue her revenge and how to deal with Yuda's role in it.

@Mayumai Yes, I also thought about those things. This chapter felt messy and random. It made the story more convoluted, true, but did it in an extremely dumb way. I expected Okaya's parents to have similar personality to their son, not to be his victims. Meanwhile, it's totally the opposite.

Okaya's mom introduction sort of implied a scenario that @RayalitySaga mentioned earlier. Machiavellistic and corrupted mother trying to support her heavily toxic as much as she could, so he can become her successor one day. And yet, she was proven to be his submissive victim, not the protector or role model.

I get that Okaya acts differently depending on circumstances, yup hide his true nature, so his mom most likely might do the same, but come on. This chapter was filled with plain dumb irrationality way too much.

The last time I saw something like this was Sponbebob with that Flats the Flounder bully, with the kid controlling the parents via jerk behavior.
Anyway, how the bully manage to control his parents like this is beyond me. Both parents' WEAK behavior is much more pathetic than Marty McFly's father from Back To the Future. I know, for kids, it is hard to go against bullies, But adults are expected to be much more capable when going against bullying. Not to mention both parents work for the police, how can they handle actual criminals with that sort of WEAK behavior?
