Noor's journey back to his hometown, and to see the devastation, it's quite heart-wrenching to see the place he lived, now is barely livable.

Of course, Noor's journey fighting alongside the Sovereign Six has been a dream forthcoming, given he still works hard for it from young without a skill. And even if he ultimately learned his Parrying and cultivating his insane strength all at the same time, from one instructor to another, who can't handle him just after 3 months apart since he's lacking the essential basics to be an adventurer.

Misplaced talent, Noor is not one, it's just that the skills call for specific talents that he unfortunately cannot fulfil, and all Sovereign Six masters recognize Noor's strength and persistence to want to train him further. At least for the man who can now Parry his way against everything, his trip was certainly one eventful journey from start to finish that now is treated as a valuable person towards the Kingdom of Clays with the Black Blade, and his journey is only just beginning.

It's an OK show following one awfully dense character, though I suppose it's not TOO bad.

They gave this a safe finale, in the sense that it satisfy a concluding adventure although it's still a bit open ended.

After all the fighting, parrying, adventuring, etc, it looks like Noor finally found some peace and regained hope for the world. That said, this episode felt underwhelming imo as it's just too predictable and safe.

Man this was such a weird show cause it’s got a subpar story and Noor annoyed the hell out of me sometimes with how oblivious he is, but damn I still kinda liked it 😂 . Not anything groundbreaking but it had a few good things going for it(Lynne)

We already knew that Noor was deemed too good for the teachers, but seeing their internal monologues and hearing their reactions to Noor being a prodigy was interesting. The thunderhawk scene and the old mage being shocked at Noor double casting cracked me up. Noor was really out here speed running reaching the pinnacle of magic lol

“This is a really good sword” only took you the whole reason to realise it but yes that’s a really damn good sword lol. I got chills with the ED theme playing and our finally “I parry” title card. Always love a good name drop in the final episode. He might be a dumbass but with the support he has Noor might just finally fulfil his dream as an adventurer

I'd want to train in warrior school since it's the only school where they train shirtlessly. And where's a sequel announcement cause I need it?

Anyway, this mark the end of light novel volume 2 (out of 8 and counting) and the end of manga volume 4 (out of 4 and counting), anime seems to have more detail than manga but less than light novel.

Seeing how determined Noor is, we can see that talent will not emerge without perseverance to nurture it.
I hope this series continues and gets a second season soon.

Got the flashback pov of all the sovereigns, makes sense they would notice his potential but ofc conveniently non of them would've said any of that out loud.

Honestly the show would've been decent
and even have a pretty good production but while the misunderstanding not being funny is still tolerable, just focused on for too much took away enjoyment from the show. The invasion arc was better since it was plot centered.
Its a Flat 6/10

This show makes no sense because not only is the main character unbelievably stupid but literally every character is unbelievably stupid. It's like a black hole of common sense.

@MineBlowink I agree. The MC was a little TOO dense later in the show, but overall they made good use of that as comedic relief and the show was overall good fun and a little bit self aware; Just enough self awareness to make the ridiculous situations that much better, but not enough as to whack me over the head with it. Definitely think it's one of those shows most people watch, say "hey, that was pretty fun even if it was kinda dumb" and so they won't rate it as highly as you'd think for how enjoyable it actually was.

This is definitely one of the unforgettable series this year!!! 🥰
I love the songs, bgms, characters, etc.
It's mostly a wonderful ride. 9/10

Thanks for the background info, we now know they actually went and looked for him and hoped to raise him since he was a kid. Definitely tearjerking. 😖

I need a sequel!
Let's hope if it does, they do it better! 😊

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

@CrazyButNot4U One of the streamed shows of the season, let's hope it's enough for a s2.

Meanwhile the author on twitter, called this 2 volume adaptation just the prologue of the story.. it starts for real on vol 3.

---

It was one of my fav shows of the season, super fun to watch, surprisingly hold a great production as well.

Honestly, a very unfortunate shortening of the title of such a great anime for the English title to the simple I Parry Everything, the original Ore wa Subete wo "Parry" suru: Gyaku Kanchigai no Sekai Saikyou wa Boukensha ni Naritai translates as I'm going to parry everything - The strongest person in the world with a reverse misunderstanding wants to be an adventurer. This main idea is perfectly visible in the last episode. For me a clean 10, not one complaint.

So, season finale is mostly a bunch of flashbacks, where we learn that Noor and everyone around him has been misunderstanding things for essentially his entire life. It's anime, so if we're OK with accepting plot armor for MCs, we should also be willing to accept plot stupidity for everyone, but it's still annoying.

Finally, the series about characters who think too much and talk too little is over.
It was cool, but I don't think I can handle a second season if it keeps the same style.

You guys have a remarkably low standard for enjoyment.

One joke shows that manage to work only work because that one joke is localized to one idiot (ie Cautious Hero) so that everyone else either reacts to or is straight man to the shenanigans. But if the entire cast is just one joke, it's not only stupid but entirely predictable because every interaction is the exact same formula over and over again. And this show doesn't have the animation backing it like battle shounens that use the same formulaic power of friendship nonsense.

thought this was a great anime, closed the first season quite beautifully. I do understand that some people hate the fact that he's so ignorant of everything like he's parrying common sense. To me that was pretty comedic most of the times. one thing that the last episode made me wonder tho. We see the POV of all sovereign six admiring the talent that is noor. they finally set out to find him as he left the city but then we don't get any more information... like did they find him? because at that time he was pretty much almost dying every day due to poison. you're not gonna tell me that that sovereign thief wasn't able to find noor with his skillset... so why did they not find him. why did they quit looking for him. what really happened? if someone has spoilers from the manga please feel free to share i don't really care about being spoiled

This has been one of my favorite anime this season, I really enjoyed the story, characters, voice acting, music, art, animation.

9/10 (because of the running "misunderstandings" gag that was used way too much)

But this episode left something to be desired.

It did show again how good Noor is, that he is always ready to help people, and that he works hard.

We finally got to see what happened at the schools, but now that we saw that "The Six" wanted to personally train him, it leaves us questioning why they couldn't find Noor? Or why now, they are not talking to him, to try to train him like they wanted to before.

I mean, if they really couldn't find him before, then now that they know where he is, they can train him all they want, but no one talked to him in this episode about training or working with them.

I think they should have showed them together talking to him.

That left me disappointed.

Anyways, I really hope for a second season for this anime.
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Just another pov of episode 1, but this time they showed that in fact every teacher was shocked by his abilities. Still, the plot demanded that they neither explain how good he is to him nor find him for the next 15 years (I assume this is due to some kind of barrier near his house from episode 1). Also, no one properly explains obvious important things to him in any of the episodes.

Overall, it was fun to watch, but the constant misunderstandings throughout the series made it frustrating at times.

So basically we find out that all the Instructors are basically the reason why Noor lacks common sense in the current day. All they had to do was tell him that he has talent and he really doesn't need a skill and can just keep focusing on what he's doing day by day. Great teaching.

The show would have been WAY better had Noor not been such an Air Head.

Still fine but could have been better.

Would of just been better suited as episode 2. Annoying that it ends with no one knowing he's strong, including himself. Even only the highest ranking people know he saved them. Not the best conclusion to what wasn't the best story.

Still wonder why they can't find Noor for 10 years. Did he really lives in a secured place where nobody knows? Come to think about it, his mother mentioned about don't leave a certain place, did she made a barrier or something?

@ejleon I have no knowledge of ln or manga, it's just a theory: I guess his dad was really someone powerful/important and must have been hiding for some reason.
His mom said to not go beyond the cubes in the house entrance and when the MC passes there was like a field thing, maybe this the reason that nobody found him when he left the city

But yeah none of the instructors had a proper talk to him before he left is really weird

I really like how we got to more of Noor's training when he was younger and seeing all the instructors recognize his talent even if the training didn't pay off in the end.
I enjoyed this anime from start to finish, Noor is such a great human being.
I always enjoyed him being oblivious to the amazing feats he pulled off.
Lynne & Ines were great characters for him to be around with and now with Rolo as well.
I hope this eventually gets another season.

I forgot, he did walk through a “magical” wall of sorts in the beginning, thanks for reminding me.

That probably kept his presents hidden from people, makes sense.

this was a silly show, hope it gets a season 2, but at the same time the stakes have been put very high, too high, he parried a dragon, an army, and pretty much the strongest monsters and people there where to parry and still is clueless of his skills, this bit could get very unfunny very quickly if it gets a season 2. Still, it was a fun watch, its one of those animes that the only stake it has is the stupid main concept in the title of the show, and its not a harem nor the protagonist is an asshole so its a pretty good watch

Although, I think under their guidance, he can still be more refined.

Plus he could be someone to study and question to see what he did to get so strong?

I am honestly glad the series is over. I fully blame every instructor that Noor had, along with the guild master for the way Noor is. This guy is obviously Mentally Challenged, and every time he did something outstanding and didn't notice they kept it to their selves. Only telling him that this isn't the place for you, and never stating that it was because his abilities exceeded what could be taught. Poor kid thought he was a failure at everything, and the instructors keeping his accomplishments secret. I have to say that they all failed as teachers, only pointing out his weaknesses, but never the strength they say. The Guild master just looked at his skill list and said, this won't work and never thought to test him. He continued training for 15 years in secret, and didn't learn anything new, only said he got a little better. Ever think that he can't comprehend what a 'little better' actually would be. All it would have taken is one test sparring match to realize this guy was S rank. I spent most of the series wanting to smack everyone upside the head for being stupid. Only one to realize that Noor was mistaken and try to correct him was Rolo and he was too timid to stick with it and fully correct him. It got to where I couldn't tell who was Gaslighting Noor more, himself or everyone else.

Among all the instructors that sent Noor away, it's the magician that I'm most baffled about; I feel like if someone managed to learn in a few weeks something that took you 50 years to learn, you'd already know that that is someone has something special in them, no matter how non-existent it might seem. But after being so surprised with Noor's capability to use the skill that- again- TOOK 50 YEARS for him to learn, the magician still told Noor that it was not the path for him.
They should be thankful there wasn't a villain that found Noor during those times or they might have already raised the scariest and strongest villain of them all just by being so encouraging and supportive to him, and being patient enough to at least train him for... I don't know... like... a 'YEAR', maybe?

it as an ok, though repetitive show. Fantasy anime like this are more like filler inbetween watching things of more substance, which is fine and dandy as those kinds of shows serve their purpose for that very reason. Just cant say it got much better after the first 2 episodes. Maybe a 2nd season will try and evolve things a bit, but I doubt one will be made. Once again...WE SHALL SEEEE :P 5/10
