| With the first of the four manga's done, we move to the next, Overlap. The filming for the movie club has wrapped up. Hisashi, who played the lead role, expresses his desire to join the drama club because he wants Mao to keep watching him. After sharing their feelings, Mao and Hisashi sneak out of their dorm at night and head to the observatory. Time then shifts back to spring. Giichi Ichikawa, the second-year director of the movie club, is feeling competitive towards the third-year club president. I can totally understand Hisashi's love for Mao's actions. It's so sweet how they always express their feelings to each other. Mao and Hisashi being lovey-dovey all the time is great. It was super hot, just pure hotness. Hisashi back-hugging Mao is so good. Giichi also found his destiny. Just love how Mao's love's overflowing. He's a bit possessive... but that's what happens when you fall for someone. His confession at the konbini at night was so cute I hope their happy times continue.. A new relationship may possibly be brewing with the orange hair fellow and Giichi... |

| With Volume 1 done, we move onto the 2nd part, which is Volume 3: Overlap. The success filming of the film club's BL movie has everyone up in arms, though it's Mao who still continues to feel feelings for Hisashi, moving from couple feelings to full-on sex. Clearly, Mao is head over heels with Hisashi, wanting to know who he is, and declare to everyone that he's his world. Too bad for Ichikawa, Hisashi joined the drama club instead, but at least he's having fun and being busy, and both guys can be closer to each other for nights on end. However, what Mao assums to be a call on his ex, Hisashi was actually acting for his next role in the drama club, and that's honestly great. Mao taking a chance to bring Hisashi to the observatory deck to do some night filming, and the latter wants to take the chance to kiss Mao in public, though the former finds it too embarrassing by themselves, even at night. You still got days, boys. Turning back time to focus on the film club and Ichikawa feeling good about filming the BL movie in the all-boys school, he has the swagger of convincing, even when experience doesn't back him up. THough when it comes to romance, he might've just founds his match: the 3rd Year student council presidential who doesn't approve of him. It's Ichikawa's turn to experience his own BL story. |

| Aww man, this episode was wonderful! I just... adore them. Can't believe they keep showing us these intimate moments between them, I thought for sure it was a one and done sort of deal. But we get to see how into each other they are, there is conversations, honesty and feelings shared, and there is also good ol' horny lovemaking. The way I find myself fist pumping each episode is insane! xD |

| I could never be in this relationship, or most for that matter, as fairly asexual. I really like them, but I literally couldn't. It's good they are communicating and stuff. Looking forward to actually seeing the movie they made, and also they made it seem like film club and club president would get together with that line and event. I guess a big benefit of BL in an all-boys school, is don't need guys to play girls since all-boys in BL movie makes sense (though obviously unnecessary). 4/5, something about it, past the high amount of sex, felt off to me, but don't know what, otherwise loved it! |

Honestly, the same can be said about a lot of romance anime. For me, this goes for OHSHC, though I won't go into detail as to why in case you haven't seen it.
I'm just glad to see another BL anime since there isn't a lot of good ones to begin with

@Mijime__ I have seen OHSHC (albeit a while ago) and actually liked it a lot. I think the difference between the two is that the main cast in Ouran had actual personality traits.
Both the main characters here have like no personality traits aside from liking each other which works out in an one shot erotica where the main selling point is the hot characters doing it but I don't think it carries itself well in an anime.

Mao’s love for Otomo is getting stronger and stronger. He wouldn’t want Otomo to join the drama club, because in that way he would have felt alone, but after all he accepted.
Ichikawa Giichi must show that third-years president what’s is capable of, he must be better than him.
I like Mao and Otomo’s relationship. Hisashi wants to know everything if there is something that upsets Mao, so they could solve it together. Their relationship is evolving.

| Enjoying this adaptation (even if they are changing all of the many sex scenes into just still panels that dont show much, which is unfortunate because there are so many great sex scenes and lines they say in them and things they do that are memorable). This episode, the scene in the observation deck is one of my favorites, good. |

It just sort jumped directly into their relationship. I do appreciate the fact that they have good communication. The night scene was pretty cute tho ngl Definitely wasn't exciting a sexy scene though ;) Hisashi spends less and less time with Mao, which sucks bc Mao is just waiting around for the editing to be done. | @cooldogmom Dunno if these are genuine or rhetorical questions, but 🙉 Mao doesn't sit around waiting for Hisashi, he helps out the third years because unlike Ichikawa he's not a sourpuss and all the second years except for Ichikawa actually get along with their senpais. Re: the penguins, you're more likely to see hell freeze over than witness East Asian mlm media let go of their precious set *~dynamics~* They do belong to Hisashi because he likes cute things though, if that helps! It's not that Mao doesn't wanna kiss Hisashi, they already shared a romantic kiss beneath the moonlight, it's that Hisashi wanted to go further, feel him up, fool around, and Mao said not in public! The film club is one club no matter the year because it only has one president and vice-president, but there are multiple directors and every one of them does their own movie. Doesn't sound like this is the first time Ichikawa wrote a script & directed (for sure it's not) in ep 1, so yeah... And Mao talks about learning all he can from the third years and was shown socializing with both the president and the vice-president in one of the previous episodes. I don't really understand ppl who feel like we don't know anything about Mao... he's the viewpoint character for the first arc, we look at the world through his eyes from the word go. All his thought & emotions are made available to us that way. We know he loves capturing fleeting moments on film & helping Ichikawa tell captivating stories, barring any traumatic experiences we don't need a deep dive into his past to know Why He Is That Way. Mostly because the way he is is very normal, he is the sweetest, most accepting normie boy Hisashi could hope for. |
