They completely ruined the anime. They took the original story and completely destroyed it.
4th wall breaking non stop and talking to herself non stop.
NON of that bull happened in the light novel nor the manga, it completely ruined the anime for me & it was way to slow paced compared to the original story.

What parts where you disappointed in? I quite enjoyed it myself. I'm also reading the light novels.
Obviously, adaption is never gonna be perfect. They need to skip parts, otherwise it would be way long series.

excuse me but I think it was amazing 👏🏻
it's one amazing anime that I'll recommend to someone who is looking for a comfort anime
It was amazing I cried my eyes out, that how you know they did amazing
become one of my comfort anime
so think twice and let those who don't know of the novel enjoy it as it is
it's amazing work if my sister say so then you know it's good

no, the only studio that needs to be shut down is Cloud Hearts. I don't wanna hear modern anime fans complain about adaptations unless they gotta deal with what us Whisper Me a Love Song fans gotta deal with 😭

A mi me parecer que el anime estuvo bastante bien una animación hermosa una banda sonora buena y sin duda es un anime que yo recomendaría a quien busquen animes reconfortantes, y sinceramente yo sí espero la segunda temporada sé que es muy poco probable pero se vale soñar

I agree with this statement, every anime they’ve touched so far has been garbageeeee

@SweatyFingers There is no 4th wall breaking in the LN nor Manga. I would put it in as one of my favorite light novels but that is why I was so disappointed in this lackluster anime where the MC comes off as bipolar.

it's not bad or slow paced for me, I really enjoyed the story and it was comforting. ( I haven't read the LN or manga so I don't what the real story is like or what has been cut...)
The only complain I have for this adaptation is that they just leave the story in half and didn't bother showing us more of her village or what happened there... I really wanted to see her parents and that village fell in hell so I wonder why they didn't show anything about that when the story started from there....

Yes the dinging and inner dialogue was poorly executed, and never hashed out in the story. But the show was nice, very wholesome.

@Hungrydavo It was wholesome but the inner dialogue threw me out of immersion each time hence I could not enjoy the show.?

It's like watching lord of the rings and the actor would suddenly go "dont try this at home kids" straight towards the camera.

They took a story with "X-star skills" and "weakest" in the title and made it watchable, and even actually quite good. That takes an absolutely first-rate adaption effort.

Her speaking to "herself" following the ding sound audio cue was obviously her speaking to her past life from our world. It was a unique take on the reincarnation concept I hadn't seen executed in quite that way before. It was briefly explained and came across completely fine and clear, so not sure what anyone's issue with that would be. It was no problem at all for me and something I felt actually gave the series a more interesting dimension since I hadn't, as I said, seen it done elsewhere in that way.

My problems with the show definitely lie elsewhere and are mostly centered on its second half.

@Azuchi While I don't agree the studio should be shutdown, as an overall product, without the light novel in context, it's a great show.

However that's where my defense against OP ends...

I've been reading this for a bit and remembered there was an animation...

And wow, nothing is right...

I'm only on episode 5 or 6 and this is causing incredible dissonance with just how many details are mixed or matched.

I had my gripes with Mushoku Tensei leaving out details here and there, for the sake of crunching things into an episode and for pacing... (including internal monologues)... but this feels like someone took what they remembered and never actually referenced the original material again after that...?
