What are the chances for a season 2? The ending showed events that haven’t happened yet like Subaru cutting her hair and the actual ending of the show didn’t really feel conclusive.

Who’s knows as it’s an original anime it’s up in the air, will have to wait and see if the studio think it’s worth doing another season.

But I guess there’s hope considering original Girl band anime’s tend to do well from the looks of it. Unless that’s only for idol original anime’s.

this is solely on the support from fans, this is an original anime but its part of a multimedia project from Toei
the music part of it has always been doing "good" theyve been producing music and MVs for over a year, so it isnt a failure from its inception

but the anime is another beast altogether, showing love and support does wonders in letting know the studio it was good, but money is more important than anything
so we'll see how sales for merch and BDs go

From what I've seen from messages of the production team and the writer of the show, they are open to a 2nd season but it will happen if the anime becomes profitable, as a 2nd season is not planned from the start but the plot allows a continuation and Togenashi Togeari as a band will continue with their regular band activities. I will buy some CD's to beg to the big corporation to give me more of their cute girls doing awesome rock things

I think there's a good chance we will get a second season considering the investment they made in this series alone. They basically recruited amateurs and trained them to be voice actresses while also supporting them as a band by creating songs for them. I highly doubt they will let them go after just one project. It could be a second season, a movie, or a game – I don't know. However, for any of that to become a reality, it really depends on the sales performance of the first season.

Still, I wonder even if we get a continuation, will it animate the epilogue we see in the ending, or will it show the events after the ending? Personally, I would like to see the TogeToge national tour arc as Indies, as shown in the ending illustrations. But I guess it's still too early to know. With no confirmation on BtR's second season, the earliest we might get a second season for GBC is probably 2027. A recap movie with additional cuts, like BtR, would be nice though. I really hope Girls Meet Rock! gets a TV anime adaptation too, to keep the Girls Band era going.

Depend on the sales they get, considering this was never released to the west (officially that is) it is very hard for another season to be considered. This is very popular in Japan and apparently, many people love it, we can just hope that it sells well for a SLIM chance of receiving another season.

I'm really hoping they at least give it another season or at the very least a movie.

We can only support from them as much as we can in any way possible (buying merchandise, buying the BD discs, etc):

There is a large, two-part interview with Mr. Tadashi Hirayama, who is Studio Toei's chief producer for Girls Band Cry:

He says the tremendous support from otaku was able to make this very expensive anime financially viable, so the project will continue in some way.
Considering that GBC volume 1 and 2 BD/DVD sets already sold more than 25k disc boxes in total, that's quite believable. (Nowadays 6000 would already been considered a success.)
However, a lot depends on the band girls' health, as two of them had to go on hiatus recently for undisclosed reasons (overworked?)

BTW, I'd love to read a non-machine translated version of the above interview.
(DeepL's japanese TL quality seems to have imploded in recent weeks and I don't fully trust Google TL. Especially since there is a short sentence in the interview from Mr. Hirayama, which seems 10x as controversial as the eventually unsused sub-plot of
