Report DetachedPersona's Profile

Sup bitch. You can call me...idk what you should call me. Some call me Deta or DP.

A horrible person. That's what it says. We weren't even testing for that.

I'm just a misanthropic cynic who happens to occupy the same space as you. For lack of a better term I am also a girl. I guess.

There's a small chance I have some sadistic tendencies.

Testing the waters on this new about me...

I reflect too much actually.

She just rambles on in general snd yells at me even if it isn't about me.

Oops thought I replied. Strange. Yeah my current plan is a lame one just watch a lot of anime hoping I can go through more emotional ranges more often maybe it would strengthen them. I should be meditating or something to improve my focus too though.

Well it was fairly uneventful except my mom's usual ranting.

Oh I also like storywriting (not necessarily novels, but just stories I think), I would like to make it a fairly important part of my life someday when I feel ready to publish stuff.
What a surprise, I also like classical music and rock. I also enjoy videogame music, though maybe what initially made me appreciate it may have not been traditional videogame music (more especifically the Sonic songs and the MOTHER album).
My favourite games are (not ordered with any thought at all):
  • Star Fox 64
  • The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls (the gameplay is trash, but the story shines by itself and that's what made me like it so much)
  • The MOTHER/EarthBound trilogy (especially MOTHER 1 A.K.A. EB Beginnings A.K.A. EB Zero)
  • The Dragon Quest original trilogy, especially II and III. I wish the stories of the games still had some connections like these did.
  • TLOZ Skyward Sword
  • Urusei Yatsura: My Dear Friends. Just a fun little tribute to the series, nothing groundbreaking.
  • Triangle Strategy. Tactical RPG with deep mechanics and a nice story. I like that you can recruit different characters depending on your convictions and I don't mind long cutscenes though it takes a bit long for the conflict to kick in. It's like a Game of Thrones RPG (I don't know anything about Game of Thrones, this is just what others say).
  • Pokémon Snap. It's technically an on-rails shooter because you aim at Pokémon with your camera while going through rails. You take photos and get points depending on how good they are, that's all.
  • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team Red/Blue/DX, it's both a fun roguelike for beginners and an emotionally-investing story.
  • Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver. It's a remake of Gold/Silver/Crystal. This was the only time they ever managed to make the world feel alive and the post-game is like an entire second game (you visit the region and the characters from the prequel 3 years later) and though it's just an RPG, there's a bit of a sandbox feel to it, maybe because of the world and the way they make your hand-built team feel alive so you seek to spend more time with them in whatever ways you can find.
  • Pokémon Sun & Moon, mainly because of the slightly more mature story while being a kids' IP, which later got ruined by the Ultra editions.
  • Pokémon Legends: Arceus. I liked it because they finally tried something new, they finally tried to innovate and it made the traditional fanboys mad while those who were tired of nearly all the other games being the same loved it. It's still a rushed game but I enjoyed the action elements mixed into it and, surprisingly, it has some vibes from HeartGold & SoulSilver, they made me grow attached to my team again. The world still doesn't feel alive enough though. I'm both hyped and sceptic about the upcoming Legends Z-A.
  • Bushi Seiryuuden: Futari no Yuusha. A really innovating platformer, turn-based (maybe action?) RPG made by the same company that made Pokémon, it's better than Pokémon will ever be. It only came out in Japan, but there is a fan translation patch.
  • Find Love Or Die Trying. A small indie dev's first VN, it's about being stuck in a dating game show that's actually probably trying to kill you (the only modern game in this list aside from Triangle Strategy, PKMN SM, and PKMN LA lol. Seems as if being stuck with old media was just my thing lol)

And probably a lot more I can't remember right now because I like a lot of games. How about you?
Kdekalcio Jan 23, 10:40 AM
I like videogames too, and also music though I'm not an active listener. I may also read a novel every few months (mostly old because I'm uncultured about new releases in the same way I'm uncultured about new anime).
What are your favourite videogames and bands/artists?
Kdekalcio Jan 23, 8:11 AM
What other things do you like aside from anime?
Sorry for the sudden topic change, I'm just not sure how to elaborate further into the subject.
Kdekalcio Jan 22, 1:08 PM
I get it. My focus on those bad aspects has gotten worse the older I've grown. I'm glad when I meet someone who isn't that way.
MitsukiHimeka Jan 21, 7:55 PM
Yes definitely :]

Shouldn't yours feature Marissa and Marissa's feature yours?

hmm usually matching sets have the name of the user that's using them, also we like these characters a lot so i'd imagine we want our names next to them lol! :]

Used to be the opposite where id cry fairly easily.

Yeah it happens. I cant stand the holidays, they tend to be worst time of year for me, except Halloween I always like even if i dont do anything.

I've never played League myself but your sentiment does seem to echo what some others say about the game when they go back to it, they talk about it like they've relapsed on drugs lol.

How's Bleach so far? It looks cool though at 366 episodes it seems like quite the commitment if you plan on actually watching all of it.
Laniakea Jan 19, 8:33 AM
Yeah i'm good thanks. I started randomly watching Inuyasha yesterday and it's quite fun. It has that 90s-00s cartoon vibe which makes it feel quite nostalgic. What have you been up to recently?
It’s time to ditch the text file.
