The romance was too perfect to have an ending like that so they put a cliffhanger as to people wanting and asking for another season

When I read classroom of the elite ln I thought there ain't any other adaptation worse than this. And then this ENGI mf went on and adapted unnamed memory.

Fuck man these studios loves so much to make us ln readers suffer

Yeah, I believe they just wanted to rush things to reach to the wedding and then just leave the cliffhanger. But that is such a bad decision.

Because this season is a 'Unnamed Memory', no point entering in detail of something that basically didn't happened lol.

Seems like my thoughts as a novel reader are correct. Don't get me wrong. The novel is as nice as it is and I love it. I am happy to see it got animation. But seeing how it worked out, I am not happy and confused about how it ended up being!

I expect it should include novel volume 1 and half of the volume 2. Then I saw the visuals of the anime which included 3 volumes from the novels? I started to think as it makes no sense! Is it an animation that progresses half a year? But no! It only has 12 episodes in total. As a result, I suspect it would not end well which is already happening since a lot of arcs got deleted between ep1 and ep2.

I don't even know what is ENGI thinking. I am not going to say anything if it is only a one season production. But then it announced season two which is happening half a year later at 2025 winter after season one just ended. Why? Why rush it? Why they just put that many stories into a 12 episodes animation? Why don't they split it into two seasons as if volume 1 and first half of volume 2 as seasons one and second half of volume 2 and volume 3 as season two? Seeing how bad it goes on season 1 in this anime and it got season 2? What's going on? Why don't they put more effort into producing animation about novels volume 1-3? Why?

Well, I am wasting my time at 2 am just to type that much as anger took over me. I am starting to hate ENGI as if Project No.9 which is a company does not respect the readers and decided to produce 3 animes in a season and making some crap out of them is a good idea. ENGI has records of rushing anime production before. “You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story” is an example. I did not read the novels but I can still feel that there are arcs that got deleted. In the end, I am not trusting that company. Not before they change its attitude.

Good nights 💤💤💤

I'm ok with the anime getting renewed but please do not skip things from the novel. And the studio is doing for rushing the first season.

@cuhoangdk I have the same idea. They might use this chance for something like that, as a way to please the fans.

But if it doesn't go that way, I'll lost all hope for the other characters.

It would be nice if we get 2 cours for the 2nd cour.

It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

@NoelleIsSleepy That's the beauty of a train wreck though. It's an awful thing to happen but it's also fascinating so you can't look away from it.

That said I'm going to watch it just to satisfy the completionism in me.

EVEN WITH a six-month long break between S1 and S2... production COULDN'T have been so bad as to make a hackjob of S1 'just to hope S2 comes out better' in January. as MAL themselves wrote on S1 Background: "Unnamed Memory was initially scheduled to air in 2023 but was delayed due to production reasons." if ENGI had to delay it A YEAR! why not fix it?

ok let's look backwards in time!
Management of a Novice Alchemist (12 episodes) Oct 3, 2022 to Dec 19, 2022. THIS and the NEXT show would have been ENGI's final efforts for the year 2022. a fun show i watched weekly subbed even with the low-LOW quality artwork in it.

KanColle Season 2: Let's Meet at Sea (8 episodes) Nov 4, 2022 to Mar 25, 2023. MAL Background: "To improve the series' quality, KanColle: Itsuka Ano Umi de was shortened to eight episodes instead of 12." eight episodes in TWENTY-ONE WEEKS? Azure Lane is the limit of my knowledge on 'ship girls' anime... heck, i've never watched the 1st season of KanColle.

Odekake Kozame (60 episodes) Aug 1, 2023 to May 10, 2024. ok? it's a lil kids show right? i saw the synopsis back in '23 and thought to myself, 'a lil shark does fun stuff... on... land?'

Gamera: Rebirth (6 episodes) NETFLIXed all in one day Sep 7, 2023. but they're 44-minute episodes?

Our Dating Story: The Experienced You and The Inexperienced Me (12 episodes) Oct 6, 2023 to Dec 22, 2023. this one i actually watched weekly subbed and enjoyed it. even with the YET AGAIN low-LOW quality artwork for it.

Unnamed Memory, we all know about that... and FORWARDS? MEDALIST? the same MONTH Unnamed Memory comes out with its S2 ENGI is doing an ice-dancing-skating anime?

guess what A LOT of these titles have in common? KADOKAWA. Medalist, Unnamed Memory, Our Dating Story, Lil Shark, Management... 7 total titles, 5 of them Kadokawa is a producer for. shrug. i wonder if that is a coincidence?
just an ol school American otaku enjoyin the life. don't sass me kiddies, i've been otaku probably since before you were born. leave me in peace and i won't bother you either.
