Buchio behaves so much like a human sometimes that I forget he's not.

Episode isn't as dramatic as some of the others but still had its usual vibes. Buchio's little adventure took him to the city and there was a science fair. What an ending though damn! A tear in the sky out of nowhere.

Takumi gets interested when scientists from the Space-Time Laboratory are here to do their investigations, and he just drags Buchio while at it to conduct his experiments, and also ask the critical question of the boundary breaking. But of course, no comment about that as they don't want to disrupt and disturb people, but that doesn't deter Takumi from investigating further on possible theories. Even if it's speculation, I love how parallel worlds are described and illustrated, and Jiro's ancestor Tengenbo being the first protector of the lands 500 years ago, the only possible explanation is the meteorite.

Boy, Takumi has a lot of dreams he wants to fulfill, but gets shot down by people thinking that he's not good at all, and what Buchio got to experience, he envied the nekomata for that. because of his hard work, and connections to people of all kinds, it's not luck that carried him through. It's a pleasure to always ride on Wagen in his VW Golf car self as Buchio goes to work and Wagen accompanying him to an air space museum, while Buchio meets Sanmoto on the way...only to see the boundary truly breaking.

We're finally in the final volume of the manga, hope this will end amicably.

It was so sweet seeing Takumi and Buchio bond and spend time together. That ending though was quite unexpected I can't wait for next week to see how it unfolds.

Here's the anime that make what happen on the inside as important as what happen on the outside. On the outside, we have a secret space-time organization, an extinction-level meteor, multiverse, a distortion in space-time, etc. On the inside, we have a boy struggle over his uncertain future, a cat that worry if his good intention speech can hurt someone, etc. And they're equally important.

PS: It seems like demon lord also have a power to read mind like Jiro.

Damn, you know thing's are bad when Sanmoto starts sweating. That's one horrifyingly massive rift! So the rumors were correct. Now the question is how bad things will get from now on and who/what will enter this world!

Oh, I was surprised to find out Hayachio is older than Jirou. She can easily be older than Tazenbou or maybe even 1000s of years old. It's sad we haven't yet heard her story while only 2 episodes remain. I hope this gets S2 eventually.

A rift in the sky!

This series is a golden anime. It's entering it's final segment. Expecting melancholic moments with awesome progression ahead.

It didn’t seem after 4 or 5 episodes that this anime would do so much, it’s really outstanding.
Also, the space shuttle at the national Museum of Nature and Science in Ueno is a blue whale in our world…

Wonderfully put.

The show is just so chill about it too. When Ma-san, Jiro and Mutsumi made a brief appearance, I remembered that we ended the previous episode with Mutsumi crying her heart out and began this episode with Takumi's spring break project. Some people might complain about tonal whiplash, but I really like how the show just goes wherever it feels like but still keeps its head every scene.

Is this background girl supposed to be an angel or a tengu?

Just shocked by the ending and hoping the next Saturday arrives soon, what an incredible scene that leaves you apprehensive and afraid of what will happen next, otherwise a standard episode.

Salute to the tengu named Tengenbo who sacrificed 500 years ago (just wow he's voiced by Mikishin)
I hope for the last 2 eps Buchio and the gang would fix the space-time barrier break phenomenon so that the ending would be great

It was interesting!

P.S. Every episode where we have the least amount of that annoying "Muu-chan" is a good episode :D

Completely off-topic but that ending cliffhanger made me think of an old song:

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down
Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them
He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town

Oh no, they say, he's got to go
Go go Godzilla, yeah
Oh no, there goes Tokyo
Go go Godzilla, yeah

Totally not that kind of show, but a kaijuu slowly stepping out of the giant rift and going on a rampage as the finale would be hilariously surreal.

I think bucchio situation goes both way with luck because it does feel that everything was served to him in silver platter and his connection to people with his over kind nature and things went from there. I do get were takumi is coming from with his jealousy.

I hate cliffhanger-kun, that was a mean way to end the chapter ;A;

It always baffles me so much when this show forgets about youkai and tries to be Multiverse of Madness.

Yeah, her behavior feels really annoying to me.
imo her acting more like an ordinary kid doing ordinary kid stuff and less like Jirou's 'overly attached girlfriend' would only benefit the anime :)

I completely disagree.
Not only Mutstumi's overall behaviour is the epitome of childlikeness, but her wanting to always stay around Jiro is a realistic portrayal of a young girl's blooming femininity.

Flashback with Tazenbo and Tengenbo. It's clear that Tazenbo is an ancestor of Jirou.

And what's up with that tear at the end. I didn't expect the show to go there, but I'm all for it.
