This problem with monsters roaming the city still hasn't been contained yet. However, seeing Mio having fun and not batting a sweat is priceless.

Also, Eris..who mostly has a role of a comic relief character was actually helpful this episode. But yeah, I kinda feel like his arc's monsters and drama has been dragging a bit.

Rembrant scared Zara with his old self, huh?

The mutant crisis showed no signs of ending. In the shelters, people were on edge as new mutants emerged, adding to their anxiety and fatigue. To change this situation, the Fukasumi group, consisting of Root and Sofia , joined the mutant extermination unit. They first headed to the northeast sector of Rotsgard, where they easily defeated their enemies. Later, during a visit to the Merchant's Guild, they reunited with Rembrandt and Zara. Makoto, who had previously been marked as unfit for trade by Zara, expected harsh words once again.

Nice little ice prison spell from the students.

I wonder what Mio's gonna ask of him, baby? Poor Tomoe though, left out. Was fun watching Eris and Aqua, fun duo. Other than that it's the usual like last few episodes. Still waiting for Makoto to kick ass.

Every episode: gets farked over and disrespected by hyumans
Every episode: I guess we won't be able to work with hyumans after all, now is the time to leave
Every episode: Despite his godlike powers and repeated realization that hyumans cannot be trusted, he still lets them walk all over him and desperately strives for their approval.

This show is frustrating. Despite multiple parts of the primary plot being entirely focused on the MC not being part of the hyuman faction (starting from the base premise of the show where he is betrayed by the Hyuman god, becomes ruler of most non-humans, and literally can't even talk to hyumans), it seems like the show simply cannot get past the tropish "humans are always the good guys" BS.

When the hell is he going to tell them they're on their own for treating him like shit and go restore his waitresses' country?

Factions:
Demihumans: Loyal. Fanatically loyal.
Hyuman goddess: royally farked him over for nothing
Hyuman nobles: constantly attack and undermine him
Hyuman academics: headmaster is an asshole
Hyuman merchances: blackmailed him (I know he's allies with Rembrant, but he's not in charge)
Hyuman heroes: The three he's aware of are an asshole who tried to kidnap his people and two who tried to kill him (he/Mio doesn't know the other is a hero)
Hyuman waitresses: loyal
Demons: betrayed him despite pretending to work with him

@amf85 I agree. MC is frustrating. He can't stand for himself and kick ass when needed to. What is the point of power fantasy if MC is acting like a beta?

The school headmaster is an @-hole along with that merchant.

Makoto maybe naive and inexperience but he gained a lot of allies who are kind and dependable to him.

After being treated disrespectfully, he should really leave the place, quit being the teacher, and move his business elsewhere.

I sort of get Zara's turnaround of attitude towards Makoto but I couldn't empathize with him, I still remember his dressing/shake down of Makoto and I still wont forgive him for it.

So what's happening now? There seems to be something on that rich district of theirs but it seems Mio is on to it. Some other factions that may or may not be aligned with the demon's agenda seems to be moving here. And there are no reinforcement/relief along the way as it seems all their capitals are about to be attacked or something. Lots of plans within plans, hmm?
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

Well, at least this episode was a bit more interesting than the ones before that, but the author still refuses to let makoto loose...
What's the point of having the most broken being on the planet and then do nothing with him?
At least dainanaoji gets this right.

Animation mistake when Aqua knees Eris in the stomach, the first frame has white elbow, while in the next, it's a green knee. So they either forgot to color it in, or more likely mistook the elbow's white glove for the green knee. Or they forgot to put in a 2nd striking sound effect, as with only 1, you'd normally assume it was only one attack between the 2 frames.

It's not like I was paying close attention to her zettai ryouiki or anything...🫣

I can't believe they are still yapping about the academy 19 episodes in. Frightening how much people still think this is a good anime when this is at best mid while most of the time it's intentionally wasting your time.

I kind of agree with zara, i wish instead of these monster/demon stuff that makoto would learn to be a better and mature as a merchant but still keeping his values in a way.

only after this ,go make him need to resort to a show of strength or so you will to prove another of what value he actually has.

A fairly normal and somewhat boring episode, but hey, Makoto and his servants are killing mutants, Zara understood that it is not good to have the protagonist as an enemy, Mio will have a wish, Aqua and Eris are the best part of the episode, locking up the students to protect them, and Makoto goes to talk to the big guys from other countries. Let's see what happens in the next episode, which disappoints me more and more.

The main subordinates have plans they aren't disclosing to MC and MC who is worlds stronger than others ends the episode looking like a confused fish because someone with authority wants to talk to him. I don't need him to be cocky or annoying, but it would be nice for him to move a little more like he has a sense of his strength in this world.

Imagine being the ultra strong head of a force that seems like they could topple city (if not a whole country) with ease, but feeling sad about a local merchant letting you know you're a bad merchant.

Kidnap his people? You mean the thing with Tomoe? I don't think she told him about that.

I still don't know what his problem was. All I could gather is "You didn't kiss enough ass to open your own store".

Tomoe hasn't even told him that one of the "heroes", tied to the grey lady that's asking him for a favor, tried to steal her away with magic.

Yup

MC sucked at most things, (including not knowing his servants are the ones doing 90% of things in the shadows)

And he only gets the "good views" from others after they witness his "powers" lol

(imagine if the MC never got Tomoe or Mio... he would probably end up going berserk)

.

Also, LOL @ the leaf outfits girls, still funny

Haha those man from the merchant guild really just change his behavior since Makoto just help him too much, but well, hearing him talk with Rembrandt like that, even though clear hate still obvious, there gives a relief idea about Makoto future job as a merchant kinda being saved. Plan really work out well i see...

Now when everything seems like its being over. State of emergency emerged. Root already realized it, but not for everyone else. Time to make Kuzunoha trading company reputation soar even more higher this time. Let's go.

The tonal whiplash between everything going so smoothly including the leader of the merchant guild becoming a wimp and them just ignoring a bunch of people getting killed simply for show is weird.

I dont mind the show becoming darker to move the plot but this just feels pointless?

All of them fawning over MC Kun while also going behind his back "for his sake" is also weird.

Its really just .. odd. Just when you think there may be some stones on the road with the merchant guild not cooperating and the demons playing him everything gets conveniently solved with 0 trouble, but its still supposed to have a very dark background?

PS: Isekai MCs beeing lame and the shows getting carried by side characters, especially main heroines is nothing new and also a reason why certain shows in the genre stand out so much, but Tomoe and Mio carry this show so hard its insane

Rembrandt is legitimately the only likeable character left with Lime being a close second. MC has become boring and passive, all his cronies have become 2d and there's nobody else of note apart from the students who are generic in the extreme.

Makoto and his students are thankfully alright, but seeing Zara once again doesn't favor much to said merchant, who now is accompanied by Rembrandt to lighten his load in the midst of emergency against mutants in Rotsgard. This time, it's Zara who garners the fear of Makoto not knowing of his full extent outside of the merchant business. Aside from that, both Rembrandt and Zara have quite the relationship, both in business and personal matters.

Other than Makoto's ridiculous request to grant one's wishes to both Mio and Shiki, which shocks Tomoe a lot, the exterminations continue, as is with Aqua and Eris protecting the students...in their own fanciful ways. Thankfully, Mondo got away with less, but since the forest ogres' ice barrier is rather hard to break out of, only Makoto knows how since Eris knows too. But of course, there is a rather pressing issue of nobles affiliating with demons, but this is easy cleanup for Makoto and the gang to be assured of hyumans finally knowing the truth that they've known all this while.

With Makoto being cleared of his act in this rather long farce, what's next?
