| Creepy park. Kota really wanted to play with Aya-chan and her friends. Good finale. Overall, a decent season. That cat episode (ep. 3) was great. My favorite episode ever. Well, see you again. I'm pretty sure this wasn't the last season. |

| A pretty good final episode, I liked the callback with the clock and park from the early seasons’ intros, it’s fitting for the end of the 12th season. That poor mom tho lol, her kid starts seeing ghosts and before she knows it she’s surrounded by an army of them, her reactions really made that scene. I also liked the mention that the park is on top of a mass grave from during the war, potential lore right there for the series. And lastly I really liked the colors used in the backgrounds of this one, really makes me wish it was October for prime spooky time lol. And that was it for the 12th season of Yamishibai, I don’t remember each and every episode from Season 11 but I do think this one was an improvement overall based on the amount of episodes I really liked, I think it’s safe to say the best was Blackbean tho even if it wasn’t really scary. Hopefully next season can be even better if it comes around, these are always fun whether they’re particularly great or not after all. Very nice ED this season too, despite being 30 seconds long Yamishibai has always has good jams from what I’ve seen, which is up to Season 5 atm and Seasons 11 and 12, perhaps it’s time I finally watch what I skipped lol. |

| I wish she would have explained why she didn't want him at the park. Was it really so hard to tell him that sometimes souls become lost/stuck in the mortal world (or whatever), so you either need to be really respectful of them because they were once living just like us and are just scared/confused/yadda OR you can go the 'yeah nah don't mess with spirits at all if you can' route. Either way, you gotta tell them something. I mean, my mom took the latter route, so I grew up scared of that type of stuff. So if she really wanted him to stay away, all she really needed to do was explain her fears. I mean, some kids are told and still would go to test their bravery or whatever, but that's on them at that point. Well, anyway, not a bad season. Like, not my favorite, but there are some episodes that stood out to me! |

| When I saw park in the title I was pretty excited since I think Yami Shibai giving their framing device context is maybe the coolest thing about this series, and since this intro got rid of the park I was positive it was going to be another one of those lore episodes. To some extent, a tad bit of a letdown since it was more of a background element but that was probably a smart decision. Now the episode can function perfectly fine without knowing the previous context, this could be someone's first episode without losing out on anything, but anyone who's gone through the whole series, has an added benefit element to it. I'm glad I got the extra context, because without it there's not much here, but as it is, this was a slightly neat way to wrap up the season. As for the season as a whole, I was going to come into this saying it might've been one of the better ones, until I actually went through the episodes again and realized how few of these I actually liked. I'd say the good episodes this time around were episodes 3-5, & episode 12. Blackbean was my favourite, followed by the Jizo Statue one, then Totem, then Mirror. Whereas I'd say the bad episodes where episodes 1-2, 7, 9, 10, & 11, while 6, 8, & 13 I'm more middle of the road on. If I'm in a generous move, I could move 9 to the meh category and 13 to the good which puts almost half the episodes as ones I enjoyed but it's still a large ratio of episodes I don't really care for. 4/10. |
