| You're right. Additionally, even if the animation of the anime is good, it can't redeem a bad storyline. Because none of these fights are choreographed. All fights rely on supernatural instincts, agility, and speed, making them dull. Note: People who say 'If you don't like the anime, don't talk about it' are clearly mistaken. We'll continue to discuss anime we don't like on anime forums, of course. Instead of sending messages about topics you dislike according to your own advice, you can leave. |

| Aside from the shift to mech suits, the writing seems fine to me. The direction of the story still makes sense and nothing seems to have gone completely off the rails, so what are y'all yapping about. I know this is going to sound crazy, but things can still be enjoyable even if the writing isn't all that strong. Case in point, Ninja Kamui. Sure, the writing isn't as good as it was in the first half, but this was never a show that was carried by writing to begin with anyway. It's carried by action and hype, and it's ok every once in a while to shrug off writing and enjoy action meathead shit. | Because: 1. It has great action, and most people are watching it for that alone anyway 2. the impact of writing becomes more and more clear as a show goes on. The rating mainly got so high because episode 1 started with a massive tragic action fest that if you don't think about it too hard was amazing. Combine these 2, and it's obvious why the show got a good rating super fast, and why that score has been slowly dropping as it goes on. |

Writing and story are not the same thing Story is the recipe that is being followed, writing is the skill of the chef that cooks it. Writing involves things like: "dialogue, build up, etc..." just execution of the story in general. All of which are subpar here. |

| It's truly quite terrible. There isn't any character development, there's very little worldbuilding, the story doesn't make sense at all, people die just to forward the plot, there's tons of cheap tearjerker scenes... the list goes on. |

| Yeah, the writing is so lame, nothing interesting in the plot, and seeing mecha fights in ninja animes seems like a new bad trend or something I wouldn't have been aware of before. The fights' direction is so good, but the plot overall sucks so bad. The 1st and 2nd episodes were the only good ones; other than that, it's very bad. It feels like repetitive Western movie stuff, which is boring. I hope they stop wasting money on horrible originals and start adapting good source material. |
| This show sucks from the beginning and switch to mechas was only a minor factor of its fall. Story? Bland. Characters? Bland. Motives? Bland. Animation? Mostly bland. Anyway, animation alone wouldn't save this pile of shit, but yet somehow it did in jjk s2's case which is also no better, tho. The most cliche show of few past years. |
