I do enjoy the manga quite a lot and the whole negative status concept. The anime trailer didn't look that great or rather looked quite generic. And some of the characters look very different as well, did they not look at the manga character designs...

Sigh nowadays I question whether it is good that so many of the manga are getting adaptations. Recently a few titles got butchered with sub-trash pacing and mid-animation. Hopefully, this turns out decent and we get 2-3 seasons.

I don't know why I am very anxious and excited about the anime, the synopsis seems so interesting to me..

I'm just glad one of my current reading manga is getting adapted. It's not a common sight.
Remember what Master Oogway told us:

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

@Kiryotsu I would recommend the manga. Maybe you can read it now or after the anime ends.

I read this hazure manga from the beginning and I'm sure this manga will be adapted to anime and now it's become real. Hopefully the anime meets my expectations.

Its more like the manga version has a very unique art style. From what I can tell from the trailer, the anime follow the artstyle used in the light novel instead (just look at the last few seconds from the trailer where they showcase both LN and manga covers, the art is very different). And tbh my initial impression from the trailer was good, the overall atmosphere, coloring, music, seems to match the tone from the novel, I just hope they keep that for the entire anime.

yea i get that. Really not a fan, I mean if you have a manga adaptation of the light novel, why would you choose not to follow that art-style where the main emphasis is the art itself. Sure novels have the character models and occasional images but nothing close to our understanding how a character looks. A lot of Female characters are sexualized in manga, if you want you can skip that in the anime.

But oh well, i'm still happy it's getting an adaptation. Just hoping it's decent enough, doesnt need to be a Mushoku Tensei level of adaptation.

From the synopsis it's giving arifureta, so depending on how far it leans into that it will probably be either horrible or alright by isekai standards.

@DipoleMoment
i watched Arifureta a while back so can't really recall the story a whole lot
certain aspects are more similar to "Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy" & "So I'm a Spider, So What?"
with an emphasis on the other hero's that get summoned as well added with your typical isekai shenanigans

@RiasatSenpai yeah the reason it reminded me of arifureta is they both seem kinda edgy and have the whole “transported with my class mates but I am kicked out for whatever reason to a dungeon” plot point.

The LNs have been painfully slow to progress, but maybe it's just me... I've never felt like I'm reading something in slow motion before.

I found this plot very similar to a manga I have a read before. I think it was a healer class that the goodness found unless and send him deep into a dungeon that are very difficult to survive and also he became also very strong once he came back on surface.
This is the same stuff he also got stronger.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained (Girls und Panzer der Film ) / from Nishizumi Miho

@RiasatSenpai because light novel is the original material so sure the adaptation will follow the original material instead of just another adaptation. (Manga is just another adaptation of the LN).

@Otakupervert890

sure, but it doesn't have to be that way, the manga started 1 year after the light novel started. The author also green-lit the manga art, so there is no real reason why the anime studio can't go with that.

The majority of light novel art is bad anyway compared to its manga counterpart.

If you remove ''Seras'' from the Characters & Voice Actors section on MAL and hide everyone's name, I wouldn't be able to tell which show it is, with no distinct character art.

Even ''Vicius'' looks normal and less bitch'y. I might be blinded by the manga art.

The pacing is actually really quick considering how many different perspectives the LN covers

It’s also just generally pretty easy to read. But that might just be a me-thing because I’m used to Mahouka and Youjo Senki with their emphasis on detailed exposition

It's a LN and they usually either try to follow the LN art or change the character design a little bit. Also, depending on how things are set up w/ the production committees and studios, author may not even have a say in design changes. Only sometimes do I see series follow the manga instead of LN if the source material is the novels. It's more likely they will go w/ trying to copy the LN design.

it is a LN so maga depictions sometimes differ from LN depictions.
