| Man, some people on the replies are reaaaally naïve about the whole situation, lmao. These episodes aren't being delayed because of Bugfilms being "benevolent" enough to let their staff actually do everything smoothly or anything along those lines, it's literally the opposite happening. The last three episodes are delayed indefinitly because they literally ran out of timeslots to air the anime, as a result of the continuous delays. It's clear with the fact that the recent episodes kept getting one-day delays on streaming, because they couldn't affort to delay episodes anymore, but kept missing the deadlines to deliver episodes to streaming and likely just barely managing to deliver them to TV on time. It's the result of the reckless approach to the production taken by Bugfilms' leaders - specifically the director Kazuki Kawagoe, and specially it's founder and animation producer Hiroaki Kojima - that fucked the production. Twin Engine's site states that by December, Bugfilms only has 21 employees overall. And if I had to guess, most of these are probably animators instead of management roles like production assistants and/or desks, so while there were directors and animators to make things great, there was probably very little on the management side to keep that level of production stable. Kojima's approach to production at OLM was very reckless, and you can look at Komi and Summertime Render to see that, as both had a shitload of outsourced episodes just to keep themselves "surviving", to the point where Komi-san had more outsourced episodes than in-house ones. On the other hand, Zom100 has no fully outsourced episodes, but it did have Shaft credited for production assistance... only for them to leave a few episodes in. |
| No idea since they delayed it before and the new season is already here. If anything, I'd say they might take a while until the last 3 episodes of this current season release. |

ppl talking about this anime "loosing it's time slot" etc, why thou? If the anime was really popular/selling a sh!t ton of merch it wouldn't be loosing no time slot on tv, that's for sure. So this project ain't that popular over there after all.

Anime doesn't work like western cartoons where producers can just cancel a show at any time they want if they deem it not worth it enough, these slots are set in stone. What happened is that the constant week delays during the earlier episodes caused the anime to run out of the slots it had, and again, these slots are bought in advance, and another anime (Shangri-La Frontier) already had these slots filled out, so they have nowhere to air these episodes for now. |
| It's frustrating because it's so hard to enjoy this anime when you gotta wait 2-3 weeks to watch the next episode. and now being on hiatus? rip. Was genuinely my favourite anime of the season. |

Bug films is a studio comprised almost entirely of big name animators however there aren’t very many of them (one source said that there was less than 30 in the entire studio though I don’t know the credibility of that). On top of this the show has a very ambitious director who wants nothing but the best and no cut corners. And since they don’t have enough staff to keep up with the high quality demanded it leads to a lot of delays. And to top it off their having some scheduling issues with their time slot being taken by sports broadcast and such back in Japan.

| I just don't get why they don't just air the rest of it on streaming and move on, is Cable TV really that important in Japan? Even if they do get to air the rest of it on TV months from now it probably won't be worth even the cost of the slots since it's just the last 3 episodes of an anime that has so far deterioted in quality and burned the good-will of everyone who bothered to watch it weekly. |

this whole issue could kill our S2 chances (isekai ojisan im looking at u) so i would not be so sure about s2
| Season 2? What are the chances the producers or anyone else will want to fund a second season of this? At least one made by the same studio, given how much of a clusterfuck it's been, not to mention the manga isn't the type of story that can carry a show on it's own so a large portion of what made the early episodes good was the voice acting and the animation. |

I personally found the anime pretty dull and generic even for a zombie themed manga-based anime series. Yes, the production is amazing, but that doesn't mean the story and the characters are guaranteed to be just as good as the production of the anime. But i'll just wait until things get resolved with this anime and then give it a second chance from the beginning to see if my opinion does change or not. |

| I was planning to watch it this month since it was Halloween season but I suppose I'll have to postpone for now. I only watch a new series when it's fully aired or very near that. I don't like being kept in suspense even for just a week. |

Yes, the production is amazing, but that doesn't mean the story and the characters are guaranteed to be just as good as the production of the anime. But i'll just wait until things get resolved with this anime and then give it a second chance from the beginning to see if my opinion does change or not.

| @Diogo_Gomes_1995 It's such a shame really, the first episode dropped so hard it became one of the most talked-about things of the season, even if you look at it in retrospect and ignore the production issues it's not even a note-worthy show, you can excuse the manga for being silly because for it's format it's never boring or anything but the anime pretty much competently adapts 1:1 most of the manga but never does enough to be worth your time. If anything the first episode was a great ad for the manga. |
