| I find this funny, as here I am, happy with the way the main character is, I really like his personality and how fun to watch he is. Although if you compare him to other anime protagonists, maybe the way he acts is not very original, but so far he doesn't seem to be a coward and that's a big plus. |

| Yeah sadly feel the same, getting overexcited for tiniest thing possible is tough to watch. The repeated phrases makes it even worse and I don't feel the chemistry between him and the girl either. |

| As much as he imagines alot of things with some of them being on the worst case scenario like how Mie's father is going to kick his ass or how Mie is going to hate him for bumping on her in a wrong way but he's not renting Mie or imagining on the bed with her like Kazuya does all the time. I just hope the best parts of the manga get adapted especially the summer vacation arc with two events that have some of the best moments ever. |

| I honestly think it's funny more people who dislike this show seem to dislike the MC more than the brain dead quirky premise. He seems like a normal kid dealing with feelings, being awkward at that age when you're dealing with early love is pretty common. What's not is a girl who needs glasses to see having this many issues with bringing glasses to school. I can see the thing that's supposed to make this show unique get old prety fast if they rely to heavily on it. |

| It's the VA direction probably, again, that ruins it for me. His actions aren't really that anoying, he's 13, so ok. But the voice acting. The high pitched autistic noizes of insanity. And it not even the "romantic" interactions, he just screams, internaly, all.the.time. The VA is INTENSE, always, all the time, and he comes over as neurotic mess instead of being romanticaly flabergasted, as they usualy are. That's why for me the manga works and this adaptation, slightly less so. |

| It's pretty much the gimmick of the show for the guy to act very infatuated with the girl. The romance development is rather slow paced so it's not like things really get better. |
