Aww, I really feel so bad for Ran, she's always waiting and even the smallest appearance by Shinichi makes her so happy. I really don't know why some people don't care for her character because she is an excellent female lead and an even better love interest. She obviously cares quite a bit without going clingy, she can defend herself, she's extremely sweet and very devoted. Anyways, good movie and very entertaining. |

Otherwise, slightly boring movie with only a few good moments. As I thought, we need more crazy plots involving bombs, snipers and assassinations. |
bla bla bla The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.Niko-kun said: On MAL, everyone who has used the lame rating system becomes a critic and an intellectual by default, haven't you heard? |

I don't agree, but what I meant by "dull" is "boring". She's a very boring person. Nothing's going on inside her. She angsts about Shinichi being away sometimes, but she's going to wait for him forever so there's nothing going on there. Besides that she pretty much just plays a couple stock types. |

I have mixed feelings about this movie. Some parts I really like, and some parts were pretty boring. I found most of the movie really predictable and redundant. :/ Like, how Heiji's hatsukoi [first love] is actually Kazuha. And how the culprit was one of the three guys, yet us anime watchers couldn't have guessed that without background knowledge on archery. I liked the Heiji/Shin teamwork :3 It was nice! Final rating: 8/10 or 4/5 |

True, Ran can be boring at times even though she's a nice angel who kicks butt with her karate. I prefer Haibara because she's edgier and has a mysterious personality |

well that was certainly a fun watch, I found it better than the previous movie which I didn't expect. Conan and Hattori should keep working together, cases are more interesting when they do. Also, Ai is awesome as always, helping Kudou whenever. 9/10 my favorite of the movies yet. |

To add to the Ran argument, I find her just way too naive. Her not being able to admit her feelings about Shinichi is just annoying. When a show goes for over 500+ episodes and nothing develops character wise, it does get dull. Oh and still screaming every time she sees a dead body, also annoying. Now as for the movie, I found it hard to follow, most of the mystery had to do with word puns and cultural references this time. If you didn't really understand the Benkei story, this would be a hard watch. I get it, I'm not fully enveloped in the culture and all but its the truth for me anyway. Heiji was awesome but to me not enough to like the movie. 4/10. |

Definitely the most boring and generic Detective Conan movie so far. |

Pretty good stuff, decent climax. The CG during the bike chases was...yeah. :D They totally tricked me into thinking the culprit was who Kogorou thought it was just minutes before his wrong deduction. :D It was obvious Kazuha was Heiji's real first love the whole time, but still sweet. I do so love all the childhood romances in this franchise, especially Ran x Shinichi. (Take that, Haibara shippers! :D) Probably only 6th best of the 7 films so far, but that speaks more towards how good these movies are in general than to this being bad or anything. Strong 7/10. |

It was an ok movie, didnt like it as much as the 2 or 3 before. The animaions during the motorcycle hunt were terrific (almost as the whole Ajin saga lol), that Kazuha was his first love was not a big surprise but rather obvious. The storyline was rather ok. Good thing the little kids didnt have that much screentime <3 And even if for a cuople of seconds we have seen Kudo once again :D |

After 6 amazing movies, finally we got a bad one. The overall plot and action were just dull and ridiculous to the point I can't take it seriously. It's also very predictable. |

It's such a good movie! I think it's how a Detective Conan movie should be: without too much action and big buildings, but with a nice mystery story. Even if the mystery had weaknesses, it's much better than the last several movies. Another good thing is that lately they like to show Heiji in embarrassing situations, whereas here, they managed to avoid it. So it felt very refreshing. |

Weakest movie so far, didn't care about the case nor the treasure. I knew that the girl is Kazuha as early as 30 seconds in, so the whole thing about Heiji's first love fell flat on the floor before it was even introduced. Also the weakest "Shinichi returns" moment. He accomplished nothing in that form. |

I have watched it many times, and I feel satisfied every time. I think this is the most beautiful one of all Conan movies. After so many years I still remember the little girl playing ball under a flowering cherry tree. |

Young kazuha in kimono is so cute, I bet haibara would be cuter. Hattori doing the narration was rare. good movie 8/10 |

Just as Sonoko says that the Old man Mouri is living it up without a worry in the world.. Kogoro is shown playing the tiger in a game while the maiko are singing "Tora-Tora-Tora“.. This is a gesture game that is close to “rock, scissor, paper”. An old woman, a tiger, and a soldier are the three characters in the game. |

Definitely a movie on the weaker side story wise. What sold it for me was Kazuha being the kid all along I honestly didn't expect it, not that it surprised me I just couldn't believe they'd pull that kind of reasoning. "Yeah I suddenly dressed up in a kimono, got a ball and sang" and all of that was revealed in a matter of seconds in great detail?? TBH I should've expected it because why would they make Hattori have a first-love in a movie that is supposed to be not canon. I don't particularly like movies who have too much randomness introduced with their plot twists, or something and or someone being introduced just now for the sake of the story being made (case in point, the crystal Hattori had for 8 years on him?? Like obviously by that point the film you'll know something major is going to happen with the item). I'm sure the hints were great for people who actually know Japanese so I'm just rating it off of the plot alone lol. |
