This is completely different S1 and the first movie.

It's all about cute sister doing cute things. This is more of a slice of life, there's no mystery drama to solve.

You probably won't want to watch this standalone, watch it in prep for the loli mai movie.

It's unfortunate they decided to split it into 2 movies instead of a 10 ep season. Something like this should've never been a movie.

well for me BGS is an anime where I can watch sakuta and another character just talk for 20 minutes and I'll enjoy it, hope to see the same thing here

Mystery drama? You mean Sakuta visiting Futaba who explains some nonsense quantum mechanics thing which basically solves any mystery immediately? Did anyone watch this show for that? The best part of this is watching the characters interact with each other so if the movies full of that then even better. Plus the Kaede arc was my favorite part of the series so if it’s full of her doing cute things then my expectations have only increased.

The "mystery" in this show is hilariously terrible.

it's amazing because of the characters. if its a slice of life with these characters, then it makes me want to watch it even more

As someone who read the LN, it is not about cute sister do cute things for sure. It has deep slice of life which is the reason a lot of people watch the show.

Cloverworks are notorious for cutting out important scenes in this anime tho. Those bozos have denied light novel readers a myriad of great scenes.
