| This episode was a lot better than the first, I feel like they tried cramming all those character introductions in the first and it just felt kinda chaotic lol. But we delved more into the backstories of Takaaki and Ouka, which I really enjoyed!! The ending song was also really nice~ I don't know as much about Rock Down as I do Vazzy, so looking forward to getting to know them a little better next week! |

| Wow I really like what they did with the relationship between Takaaki and Ouka! Maybe for some people, the whole smiles thing might seem really silly, but it actually gave me insight on myself. When I was younger, in middle school, I had a friend who smiled all the time too. She always seemed to have fun, and she was very outgoing, hanging out with all kinds of people that I would never imagine even interacting with. I felt a bit annoyed at that fact, sort of like Ouka and the kid who quit, wondering how can someone always smile like that? Is it even genuine? But watching this episode made me tear up, because the answer is so simple! Some people really are naturally that way (well this part I already figured out a long time ago), but what made me feel relieved was that there are people who have had the same thoughts as I did, that I'm not exactly terrible to think that way, even if it was childish. It also painted the idols and actors to be like normal humans, with their own insecurities and negative thoughts. Anyways, love how not only Ouka was affected by Takaaki's presence as a child entertainer, but Takaaki was also affected by Ouka, but neither knew the other back then. I'm a sucker for childhood coincidences like that, haha. I hope the other characters get interesting stories as well! just through 1 episode, I was able to feel closer to two of the characters :D |
