I noticed that the first episode of raven airs before the selection time for FAL ends, so I'm probably going to wait until that airs, and decide which one to pick based on that. I think I'm pretty good at noticing how good the writing and directing is, so I should have a pretty good idea of how good the show is going to be from the start. Last time I missed out on my top 10 or maybe even top 3 because I aced komi at the wrong time and didn't pick ya boy kongming. still got 131st but it was really heart breaking seeing myself not get there for only 2 errors. |

| Are you considering another title besides this one or are just trying to figure out if it will score well? Personally, I don't think it will do well. I'd be surprised to see it in the top 15. Remember your team doesn't have to be titles you're going to watch. It's hard for me not to include Yowapeda on mine, but I don't think it'll do well either. |

I've read the manga for 'Princess of the Bibliophile' and personally, I like it, but it can be very boring. And it isn't considered very unique. It definitely doesn't reach 'Fruit of Basket' potential, that's for sure. And I very much doubt a serious historical fantasy like Raven without action or comedy would do well on MAL. I think there are better choices to fill your bench. However, do take my advice with a grain of salt, seeing as how my rank in the two times I participated in FAL was....well, let's just say not even in the top +1000.... 〒▽〒 |

I feel like while the idea isn't a main stream one, that exact reason would make it popular IF and only IF it's great. which is why it's first episode airing before FAL starts is going to be a huge help. the tricky part about benches is that, you have to take risks. if the show is not more popular and/or highly rated as your active ones, it's going to be worthless. the middle ground would still be a miss, so you have to try to find the show that will rise to the top. shows like ya boy kongming, odd taxi or ousama ranking are the types that you should look for. |
