And, um... my knowledge of pregnancy doesn't go too far beyond the basic shit, and unless the passage of time was greater than how I was perceiving it... someone should have told Kotonoha that's not how pregnancy works. |

| What is discussable is whether was she really pregnant, or did she just believe so, not if that was a lie. I don't think there's any valid argument that Sekai actually lied. The first time when we see her about to vomit in her room, she's convinced she's pregnant: we see her staring at herself in the mirror, saying "Impossible". Since it was the scene shown to the viewer only, there's no sense for her to lie. It clearly indicates she genuinely believes that she's pregnant. Why I believe more points mentioned in this post aren't valid, I discussed in my original post, which I suppose was an inspiration for @Viewer10000 to make all those polls. |

| I think Sekai was pregnant, that's bc there are a lot of scenes that she keep caressing her stomach and saying things about the baby. I think she wanted the baby? No, i think she overreacted because was an unwanted pregnancy, even she loved and wanted to be with Makoto, but it's obviously that's she won't will make an abortion. The thing that makes me believe more that she was already pregnant was that when Kotonoha opened her, and said that wasn't any baby, she said in the same way when she discovered a lot of other thinks about Makoto, and she always says that was a lie just to pretend that not happen. |

| This discussion seems to have been going on since the very moment this anime was released and there's still no definitive answer. I personally think she was not but I guess it's just the kind of an ambiguous ending where you have to guess for yourself |
| nah she was definitely pregnant. the cutting up part and baby not present doesn't make sense. the baby has hardly formed bruh. kotonoha was clearly unstable and was looking for a fully formed baby which obviously wasn't present thus her ending comment. |
