feel ya man. Went through a phase like that after watching a bunch of anime. Then after watched Gintama the Final, it only made me less enthusiastic to watch other things since I'm already content. I took a break for another few months of watching anime then started to watch something slowly. In picking an anime to watch when you return, I recommend you to scroll some anime that you haven't watched and/or heard of yet.

i was doing the same to fill the emptiness , that i felt after completing the series. it may take you some time . i would say don't force yourself to watch monster now

We've all been there bro. That emptiness you get from finishing a long-running series is avoidable. I don't know any medicine other than time. You could always read Gintama. There is no such thing as too much Gintama.

You can take a break from anime. Sometimes I'm just not into it for a couple months. Burnout is common and its not a bad thing. You'll get back into this medium eventually.
