Avex Pictures opened an official website for an anime movie adaptation of Tetsuya Imai's Bokura no Yoake (Break of Dawn) manga on Friday. The website also revealed a teaser visual (pictured) and an announcement video. The movie is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters in early Fall 2022.

Imai serialized the sci-fi manga in Afternoon magazine for 10 chapters from January to October 2011. Kodansha shipped the second and final volume in November of the same year.

Synopsis
In 2038, Yuuma Sawatari is an elementary school kid who loves everything about space and astronomy. He was initially excited when his parents bought a robot called Nanako, but he was disappointed when he learned that she was basically just a boring housekeeping robot. However, when he does finally try to talk to her about space, something strange happens. Her system crashes and is taken over by what claims to be a marooned alien ship! The alien ship wants Yuuma's help to get back to space! (Source: MangaHelpers)

Synopsis does sound interesting, though as expected of any theme involving space. How will the actual movie be like that's the real question.

That KV is very captivating and it draws me in....The synopsis has the potential to be something kinda dark so that intrigues me as well

That's actually fairly commendable as a premise. It has my attention.
Well I for one already loved Lain.
